Future itemization would obviously take meldability into account and could still have unique effects without breaking the game.
Highest base Damage value, Attack Power +30 and Additional Fire damage. Best weapons in slot for most classes despite not being meldable. This is hard, cold in-game fact right now.

    I am wrong? Sure.

None of this would be broken or overpowered if these weapons were meldable hope this helps

So take the weapons that are already for the most part best in slot, and allow them to be melded? You believe that this wouldn't be broken or overpowered?

Oh, go on. Please continue. I'm quite happy that you're answering so sincerely. It's great to have more insight into how much you know lol.

Take a 46 Yew Long bow, add Savage Might materia to it, and go to Ifrit, parce your damage and compare it to Mob Bow or Ifirt Bow. You base damage diference now becomes invalid as a point for this arguement. Single melds can become too close to equivalent and ouble melds or not expencive to do on cheap bows, especially when you make the bow yourself and have SB enough bows to have 22 savage migts to play with.

Is Ifrit Bow OP if a dex materia is slapped on it? you say yes, in my opinion, I say no. When anyone can get a crab bow and slap one matteria on it and be that dangerously close to ifrit bow in damage and definently better then mog bow. Well then it takes 20 dex to make ifrit bow even worth the effort.

Interesting suggestion, but 1 savage might on Yew Long Bow won't do tho, although stronger on paper if you crit. Because with my MRD DD behind ifrit in 1.19 with 21 more attacking power & critical rate but still hit less than Ifrit's Battleaxe around 30~50 (all critical + buffs) + Noctis's LNC case. So Base Damage still applies in critical in 1.19.

I am not sure how close can 2x Savage Might get but 3x Savage Might should be able to surpass Ifrit's bow. If that's the case then I think Ifrit's bow is @ reasonable level since Savage Might are not easy to get. Know someone with DEX + 47 crab bow but opted to go with Ifrit's bow but then I don't know the reason, might just be personal preference.
