I asked a GM to clarify the new rules regarding hunts and early pulling

I'm a fairly casual player and haven't been playing long, got the game after the Monster Hunter Crossover, Ive leveled a job to 70 and was running with a friend doing fates in Limsa, a hunt monster spawned literally next to me while i was goofing around with PLD and aggroed, i had no idea there was a hunting party waiting to grab this thing. TLDR I got yelled at for pulling a hunt monster i didn't even realize was there, they were talking about mass reporting me. Im slightly concerned as I dont want to server transfer since most of my mates are here. I guess im just posting this to vent and also get an idea if i should feel bad, or what I should do in the future. Im not even fully aware of "hunt etiquette" like i said im pretty much a fresh bab.

As long as you didn't start hurling insults or doing anything to 'get back at them', they can mass report all they want. Making a false report will go against them, not you.

They shouldn't judge someone to be an "early puller" if they've only done it once. Regardless, "early pulling" is not currently believed to be a reportable offense. There are plenty more hunts for them.

You'll be fine.Most people that threaten reports are just blowing hot air and quickly loose steam when they either cant figure out how to make a report or start making the report and realise how ludicrous it sounds when its typed out.
