To be fair it’s AST this time around. SCH isn’t top pDPS anymore, but AST has ok Damage with buffs to boot.

There are only two things I can honestly think of for whm.
1. Changing the 200 potency heal attached to PI to a 200 potency shield and allowing Afflatus Rapture to trigger it: the only thing I can think of healing wise WHM lacks is a group shield. I think a 1 min CD that required additional input is a solid trade. If not then just make PI flat out trigger a 200 potency shield on all nearby allies.
3. Increasing Afflatus Misery to 1200 potency: if the idea of the spell is to compensate for the lost potency of using Afflatus spells to heal. Then the fact that it still consumes a gcd means in a vaccuum you're still losing 300 potency casting it.

I would love if WHM could have something deeper imbued to the style it plays as a poor mobility healer. Make it more similiar to BLM add a mechanic similiar to enochian that rewards the WHM the longer it keeps consistent (heals/DPS?) instead of lilies forcing you to waste or overheal GCD spells, let the lilies grow into the blood lily on its own if you manages to have consistent dps for X amount of seconds or having regen applied for X amount of time.
Not sure how to make it work but it feels like WHM should be able to be converted into the holy version of a BLM with having a slow build up and a nice rewarding system if played right. I really dont like the overheal or wasted spamming mechnanics.
Yea the PI changes sorta boogles my mind, I assumed they changed it to match one of the new Astro skills. But they spent all this time tweaking PI over 4.0-.5 with multiple changes to a place people are finally fairly happy with it to just change it again. I agree that PI was excellent for raid content for its utility.
I'm not feeling the new Plenary Indulgence. I might be misunderstanding how this ability works.
The current one is a good remote-activate heal OGCD with huge flexibility and proves itself extremely useful and efficient in high-end raid content.
Does anyone here consider this 200 potency boost to one of their aoe GCD (which sadly doesn't include the new Afflatus Rapture) as a better equivalent? The 10 second timer is short and rather inflexible. It's on a 60 second recast and is instant though which is nice.
I’m gonna just say keep PI exactly how it is now, and just add afflatus rapture to add confession stacks.
OR just add some raid utility to the confession stack by adding a raid buff to confession stacks like speed or Crit of something. So every 60 seconds you get 10 seconds of raid buff with healing buff. And maybe add a charge stack to PI so you can adjust when you use it for some added utility
"A heartbeat without harmony
Is moonlight without dark"
Actually yes I’m running with this idea:
Add raid buff to confession stack, along with 2 or 3 charges for PI. Simple as that I’m happy.
I would say reduce cast time and recast time for party and self. Then sch has Crit buff, Astro has straight damage buff, whm has speed buff.
There, had to get that out of my system
"A heartbeat without harmony
Is moonlight without dark"

Sounds funI would love if WHM could have something deeper imbued to the style it plays as a poor mobility healer.
Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.

I don't know if the devs simply don't know what WHM is, don't care, or are genuinely incompetent where WHM is concerned, but it looks like they have decided on an identity for the class--no frills, just heals.
The problem is the identity is stupid and inconsistent. If that's the class they want, then why have the other healers been given superior oGCD options--both ST and AoE! It makes zero sense. You want us to sling heals, then give us the tools to do that. You want us to DPS like a DPS class, fine! But don't give us 5% more potency on DPS and then give the others raid buffs which make them out-DPS WHM by 10%.
I don't care how they fix it anymore, but it could be fixed in a 5-min meeting.
oGCD heals, party buff, done.
All three, at the same time.
In 4.0, and now again in 5.0, WHM changes could basically summarized as 'not what WHM mains wanted or needed.' I'm starting to think if we start begging for the opposite of what we want, we'll manage to shake things up...
Also add 'only more of what we had from literally the very beginning' for 5.0... seriously, Afflatus Solace and Rapture are nothing but reskins of Cure II and Medica I, respectively, made instant and using Lilies instead of MP. There is nothing new, nothing innovative, and them being on the GCD is a huge, huge issue if you ask me...
the thing is healers are in the best place right now. People are just upset they didnt get what they want vs the classes actually being clunky. Try them first because based off the media tour and the press, 95% of them say healers are better than ever. Trust the devs not the vocal crying minority that are just stomping their feet.
