Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Showing my support for male Viera, tall and strong.
When Yoshida says slim I believe that's lost in translation, it could have a double meaning in japanese, slim could be synonymous with tall in Japanese when describing someone. I implore the dev team to make them how they designed them, tall and strong.



1. male Au ra: tall and Lizard figure (weird waste/hips)
2. male Elezen: Tall and skinny

Male Viea needs to either fit in-between them or be stronger/buffer than male Au ra, with a human figure.
By the way we haven't had a discussion about what kind of men male Viera are. It seems one side wants them to be dainty/high class like Elezen while another side wants them to be actual jungle warriors. They fit the jungle warrior category better if they're tall and strong; not delicate, bishounen, boy band models.

What I personally want is something between miqote and au ra, anything bigger than that like highlander I will hate them. I still want them to be tall and slim but also have muscle, just like miqote and au ra. So anything between those two I’m okay with. For aesthetic and customization, I want there to be at least an option to have a fur patch on their chest, they have concept art they created for how big that patch should be. I want long ears so hopefully we can get the same length as females. I want a pretty face, if it’s a bit beast like at least make him attractive/hot. I want some hair options to be majestic and long. I do want heels for at least some outfits. I want their starter gear to look just as revealing. I can’t think of anything right now but we all will definitely slowly start to change our minds on what we want coming ShB. We will be learning more about male viera in depth, so that could include, life style, appearances, whatever else

But that's exactly what most of them want. They want what are essentially the females with no breasts. I just hope if/when we get them, they're handsome and rugged; like killer guardians of the forest should be.

That is my hope, too! There's quite a lot of support for them to be masculine, luckily!

As I've said in the past, they should have at least one base face that is feminine/androgynous for those who like that kind of thing but the entire model should not be such.

I mean lets not lie and say it wasn't hugely a part of this thread that made Yoshi actually come out and stomp his foot down on peoples desire to have a child like Viera. There were certainly, for a while, a loud vocal group who wanted to be weird with Viera and they left such a bad taste in the mouths of so many people that many decided they didn't want male Viera at all because of it.

Now because that was snuffed out, there's a group who are begging for what are basically... well, female models. And if they want them to be so feminine, I don't understand why they don't just make a female character. At least that group is starting to get snuffed out too by others who still want the viera to not be a circus show.

My biggest desire at the moment is to see an expansion of the customisation for the existing playable races, however. I can wait patiently for male viera but people have been waiting a lot longer for things like the highlander male eyebrow situation to be resolved.

Yes, this. I agree so hard with this actually. Older models need updated face and hair textures. We need overall more hairs (and longer ones please, even for males). Let us double up on the makeup options, give us NEW options. Newest one is freckles from... years ago? I would much rather see more updates to what we have right now than worry about male and female versions of missing things.

I'll try and answer to give you an understanding, some GUYS prefer to show they are just that you know GUYS, some guys, including me on this next point, got drawn into believing that maybe/maybe not, were/weren't, needed to show/didn't need to show how comfortable/uncomfortable they were with their gender with saying comments like "I just like looking at a females butt", "I feel uncomfortable looking at a males butt for hours on end". These points here I make are most likely a little outdated and it has evolved to other meanings now maybe you could elaborate some more it'll be interesting to hear how it all has evolved in your mind.

I apologise here for some delete as appropriate choices here, I like people to put in some work concerning posts I make.

Yeah, his response didn't make much sense, so I'll try to explain it with my thoughts in a hopefully more clear and understandable way. Some people like to select a male character model and then dress it up in a way to make it more feminine, and some like to select a female character model and dress it up tomboyish/masculine. Not everyone wants to make a character that their gender is obvious at first glance. Some people like to find that middle ground.

So if SE adds mViera, they'd be better served adding graceful or elegant customization options that Viera are known for, but also some rugged and handsome options for those wanting their jungle assassin.

Edit: This is also why I'm not personally invested in how muscular or not muscular mViera turn out, because either way, I'll make my mViera look fabulous anyway.

PS. Notice how they have strong jaws and strong features, a staple to Viera. Not small baby-face jaws like male Miqo'te.
