I wonder if people who keep saying this was ever actually around for WoD.

I wasn't around for WoD but I've hear that it's basically the worst expansion ever to wow, Nd that they lost more subscriptions than with BFA

So you admit to not having been a part of it. Then might I suggest you stop riding on the WoD train? Given what we know so far about ShB, it's nothing close to being what WoD was. If you choose not to like a game because you can't have your way with male Viera that's fine. But WoD's major problem was that it lacked any content. FFXIV has, so far, always been feeding the player base various forms of game content.

This is true, just because Male Viera aren't added doesn't mean that it's going to be like WoD. WoD's issue was straight up the fact that it lacked any content, the fact that they lied and said it was going to be a "yearly" expansion that lasted two years. Still remember the whole "Biggest content patch yet!" and it was the darn Selfie Camera, and that's it, that was the entire content patch.

So yeah, Shadowbringers isn't going to be like WoD just because they didn't add bunny boys.

Yep, I don't think ShB will be anywhere near WoD or BfA levels of terrible.

Even Allied Races are also a joke, because they artificially lengthen your time played by making all ARs only obtainable through grinds. And adding abilities to the GCD, and only removing most of the abilities from the GCD again, because it turned out to be a mistake (that they don't admit) and still claim that the move was a success. Just Acti-"You think you do, but you don't"-Blizzard in action.

I can't even remember the last PTR where they had addressed long-time concerns right away, and instead ignored them until they became a glaring gameplay issue on live.

All in all, M Viera/F Hrothgar alone won't doom ShB into becoming as bad as WoD/BfA.

The only thing that would really doom SH is if it has no content whatsoever (even stale content is better than no content). From what we've seen so far, that is quite clearly not the case.

Alright I didn't mean this expansion won't have any content. I simply said that due to some decision in many aspects of the game I personally, got a feeling, without any sort of proof that it's going to be our worse expac till now, and what I heard about WoD was simply that it was bad. Obviously the expac will have content, but my fear is that the actual content is not good
