I reeeeally hope so, but considering the choices WE has had recently, I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow managed to make whm even easier

Many of you probably have not played the previous Final Fantasy online…. Where they did this very thing. As I said previously, many people asked for male Mithra since launch in NA, I know I did. I sent an email or two and received one basically saying vaguely what we recived now in the current live letter, “We aren’t doing it at this time”. SE will never give a straight out “No” and given from my experience, we will not get anything different from what we have been given so far. At best, they will probably do what they did in XI and just add the race as a NPC.

Many of you are clinging on because they just haven’t said an outright “No”, and more power to ya. I stayed that way the whole time I played XI, all the way up until XIV released and saw the same thing. Granted, they did finally change it with Reborn, I doubt that’s gonna be the same with Viera/Hrothgar (it took the world exploding for that change)

As much as I would like to see the races added (They aren’t missing seeing as they were never planned to be added in the first place) I’m actually fine because I got what I wanted and that was a beast race. Ever since I saw the Lupin, I wanted nothing more than to play as them, and now I sorta get to do that.

Also, I remind you that the team working on 11 was not the same that's working on 14,and for the 13th time, why do u think they felt like they HAD to implement Viera somehow? /(clue:it has to do with an NPC on the ivalice raid that's popular, has dark skin, white hair and is a Viera)

No, Viera was added because people have been asking for it since way before Ivalice, just going to point that out.

So, to me that sounds like you got what you wanted which is amazing. Also you seem to be using the argument thats been used t0 times before which is ffxi. I remind you that miqote was also gender locked like mithra, and you can't go for 5 minutes without seeing a catboy here. Let's also not forget that that game is extremely old, and players now expect much more different things from videogames

I wasn't around for WoD but I've hear that it's basically the worst expansion ever to wow, Nd that they lost more subscriptions than with BFA

So you admit to not having been a part of it. Then might I suggest you stop riding on the WoD train? Given what we know so far about ShB, it's nothing close to being what WoD was. If you choose not to like a game because you can't have your way with male Viera that's fine. But WoD's major problem was that it lacked any content. FFXIV has, so far, always been feeding the player base various forms of game content.

WoD's issue was straight up the fact that it lacked any content, the fact that they lied and said it was going to be a "yearly" expansion that lasted two years. Still remember the whole "Biggest content patch yet!" and it was the darn Selfie Camera, and that's it, that was the entire content patch.

I remember some of BFA's "The Heart of Azeroth is fine, all of you are just playing it wrong!"
"Classes are fine, you are just playing them wrong!" And now they finally admit that the classes are horrible
"Leveling is fine!" After they purposely made leveling take forever once they released the allied races to keep us playing longer for the Shareholders, they ended up fixing it after the subscriber count dropped.
So yeah, Shadowbringers isn't going to be like WoD just because they didn't add bunny boys.
