Feature Request: Display Other Players' Mounts As Chocobos

Aside from multi seater mounts, I see no real problem with the idea...

But it's not really all that necessary, as you do have options of "Target Nearest NPC or Object" and hiding player names.

For me, it just common courtesy to dismount around NPC's and has nothing to do with shortcuts and targeting an NPC. It rude and some players like to be rude and sit idle while mounted over NPC and players. Those mounted can't interact with that NPC, therefore there's no other reason for them to be on it but to disrupt other players trying to enjoy the game. They go out of their way to annoy with their mounts, especially when it's a mass reward for an event. I don't want any mounts butt in my face when I'm browsing or shopping in game. That's why I would love to see an auto dismount feature around frequently visited NPC's. Not all NPC's just certain ones.

I think what really is immersive and rich in a mmo is the diversity of mounts and the fact people have different tastes. I couldn't agree less with the TC, accepting what others like and are in a MMO is the correct approach. The next thing you are going to ask if this is ever implemented is to have a toogle so that in your screen people wear their default race glamour because the skimpy outfits break your immersion too. And then, if the second thing is implemented, you'll most likely end up asking for something as ridiculous as to have a toogle to turn everyone into Lala/Hyur. This gets absolutely nowhere.

You literally ride a Yol in the MSQ and ignore that there's the Mana Cutter as well as horses.

I point out those things because with them existing, it's not going to have any kind of priority as you can work around those giant mounts, it would would be an quality of life update as you would have generally smaller mounts around various NPCs and what not...

And for auto dismount, I think cutscenes should auto dismount since most of the time it's quest NPCs and objects you get a bunch of people around.

The irony of this post is that those questions, the default race glamour? It's been asked before. In the forums I mean.

Plenty of games have a settings feature to disable the mount and pet visuals of other players. That's all we need.
