What are you people talking about? xD
Did you read the quoted post, not to mention the first sentence of this thread?
Their issue isn't about mounts obscuring NPCs, they just want an option to turn every mount into a chocobo due to some of the mounts being extremely out of place and jarring to the aesthetic of the game world/immersion reasons in their opinion.
I do have to agree with what others have been saying though - it's doubtful it'd ever happen since cash shop mounts exist and Square would want those being shown in-game as free advertisement.
It actually used to be that way but they changed it because of player feedback. Originally you couldn't mount in Idyllshire. It was added in 3.1.
The novelty will wear off soon enough. There's nothing wrong with players showing off a well earned mount, but to be annoying with it, is disruption of game play. There is no excuse for sitting at an NPC that you can't interact with while mounted, other than to be annoying with it. I don't like to be even partially buried by another players mount for a period of time. It doesn't matter if I can still see the NPC or not. It's obvious they are trying to annoy more than show off their mount. Be respectful and dismount before you walk up to any NPC to interact.
What's been certainly constant in this game, like Arazehl pointed out, is that novelty wears off, especially with mounts. Today, everyone and their mothers are spamming the regalia. Tomorrow, it'll just be part of their favorite mount roulette or even off it. Why spend dev time on something so fleeting?
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
No. You will witness my fireworks-shooting technicolor mecha-dragon, and you will like it.
A four seater would be a really big chocobo. They would have to design a new chocobo just to cover for this. I'm all for a really wide chocobo, but this is reminding me of when the complaints not explicitly directed at males wearing the bunny suit.
