Feature Request: Display Other Players' Mounts As Chocobos

The mounts players run/fly/drive/wobble around with these days is by far the biggest detractor from the game's style and atmosphere for me. SE clearly puts a huge amount of time and effort into crafting a believable and atmospheric environment, but I can't really appreciate any of that when it's filled with burning ponies, flying chairs, floating flower puffs, bigass saddled dragons, and now motorbikes and cars. Yes, they all have some kind of lore attached to them, but that doesn't mean they visually fit into the world.

Please consider giving us an option to display every mount as a chocobo. This should be fairly easy to implement, apart from mounts with more than two players on them. But that's a rare occurrence anyway, so those could simply be displayed as they are, or replaced by multiple Chocobos.

I realize many people don't get this request. I also realize that many will be against it since they want to troll/brag with their mount selection. But please keep in mind that not everyone would use this option, so you'd still have enough of a crowd to troll and show off to.

Their issue isn't about mounts obscuring NPCs, they just want an option to turn every mount into a chocobo due to some of the mounts being extremely out of place and jarring to the aesthetic of the game world/immersion reasons in their opinion.

I do have to agree with what others have been saying though - it's doubtful it'd ever happen since cash shop mounts exist and Square would want those being shown in-game as free advertisement.

Lol do people not realize you can just Press X (if you haven't changed the hotkey) to just hide all names.

It doesn't matter if you are standing on the NPC, and besides she is behind the counter. So she is still easily able to be clicked on.

The novelty will wear off soon enough. There's nothing wrong with players showing off a well earned mount, but to be annoying with it, is disruption of game play. There is no excuse for sitting at an NPC that you can't interact with while mounted, other than to be annoying with it. I don't like to be even partially buried by another players mount for a period of time. It doesn't matter if I can still see the NPC or not. It's obvious they are trying to annoy more than show off their mount. Be respectful and dismount before you walk up to any NPC to interact.

Players trolling and showing off is only part of it...

This is one of the things that you can pretty much 100% guarantee won't happen because of the existence of a Cash Shop.

Players are also advertising the mount/glamour in-game, which can create excitement/queries, which can lead to impulse buys, which generates more revenue.
