    You misunderstand me, I think. I am not saying Shadowbringers will launch with this functionality, nor am I saying that it will come anytime within the expansion. I am merely stating that I would not be surprised if eventually, trusts are added to older content. As for all the work... if it is more ore less the same as squadrons, what work would there be? Change squadrons to be usable without initial completion and then they are (potentially) the same thing as trusts.

    I still don't see them going through the effort. And the work would be implementing important NPCs, not just the small amount of generic Squadron NPCs there are. And, of course, there's little chance they'd be able to add them to dungeons that aren't part of the Squadron system, due to wonky mechanics etc.

    While I'm not saying it's not possible, I just don't think it's likely. They'll probably focus on the future rather than reworking past content.

    They rework past content constantly, so long it does not take insane resources.

    Even the squadron system had a semi-regular addition of dungeons to it's list, and that required them to go tweak that old content. And honestly, some of that old content could possibly use a design pass that may be much easier than the required Trust/Squadron pass.

    Yeah. That's pretty much what I am saying. Not that it will be *poof* trusts everywhere, but rather that over time it would not surprise me to see them added to more and more content.

    I'd like to see an update to squadron members. Yes they level, but get no new abilities past 50 due to only having classes. I'd also love if I could have another healer than cnj, but at least my archanist will cast physick when my healer can't keep up with no shields and only cure 1, 2, and medica's at 60.

    Hmm... maybe I've stumbled onto why WHM/cnj has no shields.... squadrons.

    Did they confirm if they would be able to be used just solo or in small groups? I would dearly love for them to be able to be used in small groups. I play a lot and PUG a lot. My husband doesn't. When I play with him on my alt, we take our time and go at our pace. He's not a rusher. I could get him to play more if he didn't have the experience of being dragged along like a kite constantly when we hit the grouping requirements in MSQ because everyone wants to rush and get through things ASAP. I might even be able to charm him into optional dungeons we could run just he and I. So I hope they do expand this and do make it a situation where the NPCs fill in missing roles so small groups can utilize them as well.

    No, we've never had shields. We're the reactionary healer instead of the mitigation healer.

    This game already is a great deal of solo play outside of dungeons and raids, much of the early story and various quests throughout flat out ban you from being in a party

    And it is easy enough to say "maybe this game isn't for you and you should play something else if you don't want to play a game where the second M means Multiplayer" but /some people/ play games for the story, or for the character creation, or for the ability to feel like they're on an adventure or just in general enjoying a good game.

    Not to sound harsh but everyone has different likes, dislikes, and wants, what's important to one person may mean nothing to another.

    Saying that people should go play something else if they can't deal with being around others whether it's because of a social anxiety issue or just not really enjoying that for other reasons is basically like telling those people that if they aren't going to enjoy the whole game they can go away because who cares if they enjoy everything else they aren't needed in-game.

    Personally I used to use FFXI as my only real way of comfortably interacting with people growing up but ultimately I was always more inclined to play solo at my own pace for the story and character creation, it can be very difficult to go through XIV without a few trusted friends who you don't need to worry about having snap at you during dungeons, and if you don't really have that then what?

    Why should anyone be excluded from enjoying the parts of a game that they enjoy because they happen to have difficulty with other people? Now, that being said when the day comes when they release FFXIV as a single player offline game I'm absolutely going to buy it, but until then I'd imagine many people will have to cope, so~ giving them a way to play the game fully is quite considerate if they do expand on trusts.

    I wouldn't mind the over world after a few months after expansion will be mostly empty of players anyways with mostly gather's in the zone. Open world content is a joke anyways might as well have them /shrugs
