After playing FFXI for a few weeks, cant wait for Trusts!

I bet Palace will continue to be the fastest way to level 1-60. My luck with Heaven On High has been spotty, maybe it's because I am trying to do the final 21-30 floors, but I spent an hour on queue a few weeks back trying to get in.

I've been wanting to be able to take my squadron into the overworld in addition to/in place of companions since we've only had the one chocobo for almost 6 years it's clear that they'll never add to companions so I'd rather have squadrons or trusts.

Personally, I always wished I could replace my Chocobo as a companion with my retainers, making their whole leveling up mini-game a lot more meaningful.

Yea, that's what I want from a companion system.

I just remember having a companion in FFXI and it was neat, but I would not want a whole party with me and I feel bad making my poor chocobo fight. I just want to bring someone from my squad with me, or a retainer.

I wonder how many different npcs we will get as trusts. I went back to ffxi in January and there is quite a few so you don’t really see the same npcs all the time, (except Shantotoo).

i believe they said trusts were only going to be available for Shadowbringers dungeon content. and that while it would let you progress solo it would be more difficult and may not be possible to use them to finish every dungeon.

That sounds like a massive waste of the Trust system. I hope this isn't true, or that it'll at least be expanded upon.

Well it is true. That's what they said.

That being said, it has the smell of a system designed to be expanded upon in the future. They're just putting it in place now because it's ready to go and there isn't a good reason not to.
