They could indeed rework their ilevel system so they dont dumb excessive amounts of gear every patch. That would ease down the pain of the modelling team which has to go through it. Beside, thats why we get reskinned gear, I suppose. They are just hurting themselves by creating new gear over and over again.

They probably should rework the way how gear works on bodies. Instead of having different 3D files for different bodies (sometimes for three (six if count m/f separately) main body types, sometimes for every race separately) making one model wich will be flexible for adjusting depending on body parameters, if it's possible (and it will give possibilities for reworking character creating as well). But even if they theoretically can do it, it will means huge amount of work and it's worth to do together with graphic adjusting, which they don't plan to do in nearest future anyway.

You know what, at this point I wish SE had kept their mouths shut and waited to release the races until 6.0 or something when they could be complete and we get both genders for each. Because it flat out sucks knowing that I'm going to have to wait two more years for the possibility that we'll get the missing genders and sit through all this discourse that will inevitably continue through that time. Really burns me up.

That's false. Mud has been flung from both sides, so let's not be deceptive about where the insults are coming from. On that note, simply expressing weariness and urging people to keep feedback in a single thread isn't at all a matter of being 'toxic'. I'd like to see the gender locks removed when the development team have the ability to do as much without damaging the rest of the game's planned updates. One of the worst things to do would be to rush them.

We'll likely, as a few others have said, have the genderlocks lifted when SE can allocate the appropriate resources into completing the respective sexes for both races.

That's my issue though, they could have they had the resources to they just didn't want the feedback of not having viera, that's what it all boils down to for me, and that's my issue. They obviously wanted to add in the hrothgar but chose to cave to the viera demand, no matter how you look at this, this was not done to please everyone, it was done to divide feedback as much as possible while also hyping up the expansion with the tagline "new races", again my issue with your post is that you state things as if they are objective facts.

IMO it's clear as day why things are the way they are. We all agree that the Hrothgar were needed and they saw it AND it's demand. But they WANT to please as many people as they can and that's where Viera come in. People have been begging for them for years. And stats wise ... the people who play females overwhelmingly prefer the cute/ attractive races. Males toons have shown far more even spread race wise which allows room for interesting body shapes to be played.
But Lets face it, looking at what the Hrothgar are the females would logically have to at least have animal heads. I mean, even if you point to Scaly Bois vs Girls the females still have just as much scaly stuff as the bois so we can assume the females would have animal heads, fur parts, tails and claws. Given they are said to be taller than RoeBros the females would also be tall af to.

They would basically be in a race with Femroe to the bottom of the play list ... or just slash in half our numbers seeing as the 7k of us are the only ones who seem legit interested in playing such a female character.
I'm 100% sure that Viera will please more people than Female Hrothgar ever could and I stand by that. If you can show me any reason to think otherwise feel free to share.

This was not the best solution because people who have wanted a full beastial race, do not have them, and people who wanted to finally see male viera, do not have them. Before you say "you can't please everyone" this was literally an option meant to please everyone and there is still divisive feedback whether you call it vocal minority or not. The issue is with the way it was handled, it should have been expressed early on clearly that male viera would not be added.

No, you can't please everyone and I'm sure they know this. But this is the best path to pleasing the most people with the final additions to the game.
People who loved Viera all these years get their bunny girls and the People who wanted beast got beast men. "But what about the people who wanted Beast GIRLS and Bunny BOIS?!" Welp, can't get everything you wanted and they are the smaller group even if you don't want to hear that.

I'm not going to argue with you about genders taking up added in content because we don't know the teams work schedule, who is on what and what gets what priority. We don't even know what content we're getting besides a 24 man, 8 man and a 5.0 eureka, I think it's ridiculous to act as if they would put any of that content behind for models or models would take up that content's cycle, especially when content like eureka and diadem and even BLU have been pushed back a patch for completely separate reasons. Saying content would be canceled or pushed back as if it is unprecedented is just a disingenuous argument meant to make it seem technically unfeasible.

It's been stated by him several times that with their work flow right now this is the most they can currently handle and still pump out content at the rate they have been so Imma take their word on it.

And sure, they shoulda just said the Viera were female only when they were revealed. I mean, it was strongly hinted at with the vid and art but yeah.
(Not even making fun, I was convinced it was gonna be revealed to but looking back it makes sense)

I call them gimped because for all of their sacrifices they can't even equip helmets or glasses to be added later, they are gimped in every way of the word and it came at the cost of adding in "two" races instead of just one.

Nope, they would have to still work on the head gear regardless of if Hrothgar was solo gender or not. They put a ton of time and effort into the heads for both and though they could just allow us to have clippy messes they want to show off their hard work as they do them the service of having proper head gear shaped for them.

In the tiny trailer we have for them the Hrothgar have vastly more customization than any race in this game and from the talk it seems Viera's hair game is gonna be on another level. So I see no reason to trip over not being able to wear glasses for a bit when you're legit ringing in a new age to CC in this game. Would prefer they focus on finishing the CC before figuring out how Glasses work on a animal face.

Based on your assumption hrothgar just shouldn't exist at all because the number of players that were requesting a beastial race period have always been a minority in this game, you even have official polls by SE to prove this, you can't use the minority excuse doesn't matter because it's obvious they were providing a minority desire on top of their own personal desire with hrothgar. That ain't it chief.

They're the smaller group based on your personal perception, again there're multiple polls, petitions and post on other sites outside of this forum that show that. Reiterating the "vocal minority" meme just isn't a good enough argument, especially when you consider the people asking for a beastial race were less than the people asking for viera based on official forum posts. Guess what? they got what they wanted.

Again, they're not going to cancel the 24 or 8 man raid for this, and content has been pushed back in the past to lukewarm upset for completely opposite reasons. This isn't a valid argument based off of this, you cannot generalize and say "if they do this we won't get a 24 man period" it's the same way people who were asking for WAR to be fixed were told it would have to wait until next expansion, it was released mid expansion.

To each their own on their perspective of Viera because we have even less information about their 'unique head' than we do for hrothgar, but it's obvious their 'uniqueness' is something like a lion, tiger, and wolf head with a horn, which is no different than faces 1, 2, 3, 4. Besides the fact that it's been proven that they use similar body types? there's no reason to say these races aren't anything but gimped right now, it's the same way that BLU was gimped.

I would have just rather they focus on the races we have right now honestly, midlander and elezen need way more work than we need new racial content.

What they don't understand besides the fact that self-select polls are statistically worthless is that yay, they got a whole 5,000 people to vote. In a population of 5,000,000 +. That's a whopping 0.1% of the population.
