Honestly, if the lore of Ivalice was that important, why was the timeline of the Ivalice events changed to be backwards? Why was Ovelia just a footnote, and Delita not in character? Why were Ashe and Rasler twins and not husband and wife? Why not ask Matsuno, who already said that he had no input in implementing the race in the first place, outside of the stuff he's already written? FFXIV borrows from other games and changes it as it sees fit. Nothing is sacred.
By the account of lore, civilization-advanced Ivalice races aside from humans are extinct by the time Tactics rolled around. By the same token, if they really wanted to keep it to the lore, they would have never introduced male Miqo'te, and if they wanted the spirit of an imported race, the same would apply to female Roegadyn.
