So why even bother embarrassing the thread by assuming people who want male Viera exclusively want it for such purposes, you don't appear to have an issue with the female variant of that same race literally wearing lingerie as starter gear.
In fact, the armor in this MMO is incredibly conservative compared to any other MMO out there on the market right now, as is the fanservice of the male races.
So what exactly is the issue with a literal male with bunny ears, like seriously, its a previously established race in the FF history, and this is a FF themepark.
Because we all know that's the purpose - Viera is a female-only race made by Akihiko Yoshida for FFXII - I wouldn't even want the race itself in this game because it could easily be mistaken for a lewd-one while it's totally the opposite as Yoshida is the best designer in Square-Enix (not even, he's freelancer since a while) together with Amano.

I am against every form of glamour, vanity and contents made for the social as like I've said already, this is an MMORPG, not The Sims. There are sites made on purpose where those eager to intense ERP sessions can waste their time into, just stay away from this game for god sake, glad Yoshi-P didn't even consider male Viera and bless him for dealing daily with this luckily small (not even anymore) but noisy part of community.

Again, stop embarassing SE designers with those requests.

Wooo buddy, are you playing the WRONG MMORPG then. Y'know SE does entire events and has an entire cash shop dedicated to glamour and vanity content, right? Like, FFXIV is, hands down, the most glamour/RP focused AAA MMORPG on the market.

Sooo much to tackle with this...

First of all, Viera are not a "female only race" as males do exist, but are rarely seen. Second, Viera first showed up in Tactics Advance in 2003 as opposed to your suggestion of XII which came out in 2006. Any race in the game is only as lewdly dressed as the person dressing it, all races can be lewd.

And I'm not sure what point you were trying to reach with the rest of your first paragraph with Yoshida being a freelancer... Yoshida is an Executive Officer at Square Enix, the Head of Square Enix's Business Division as well as being Director and Producer of FF XIV.

As to you being against glamour, well good luck with that. As every major MMO has; to some varying degree, a glamour/transmog system in it to stylize your avatar to your likes.

As to ERP. How is this affecting you if they're not doing so publicly? And if they are doing so publicly report them and move on, simple as that.

And as for Yoshida not considering male Viera, he actually has. There are Q&A's that have cropped up since the fanfest where he admitted to wondering if first completing a full set of Viera (Fe/Male) before doing Hrothgar. Right now he and the team are observing feedback to get a better understanding of what people are looking for in Male Viera before they proceed, as this will be the precedent for Male Viera as it'll be the first time they will have ever been seen outside of concept art.

About the topic, I totally agree to unlock genders about the two new races.
    The reason is:
    Female Roegadyn are rare... ok.
Male miqo'tes are.... with strange fingers.... ok.
Female Highlander are... the most "interesting" females around (but, yeah, this not the point u.u).

The point is: to have options!

Even if most of us don't play as a furry Hrothgar girl or a dude with rabbit ears it would be good to have options!

I love lore stuff! I am most driven by that, but in terms of playable races, I'd prefer more options in character creation rather than gender locks for lore sake.

Besides, lore can be worked out. The Vieras don't need to be exactly like they are in FFXII lore (there they are against the males and live only in female communities).
And it's great to avoid answering questions like: 'how they procriate?" "why I can't play as a male Viera?" and so on...

Wanna do a locked gender option to character creation? Include something based on the genderless Qu race from FFIX (that would be interesting as well, btw).

Oh and you think that the bara furry men won't be ERP fuel? I hope your all ready for some yiff, yiff from this community because we are heading straight to the downtown slums of deviant art.

Also. Lalafel ERP is a lucrative business in this game. What you on about?!

Hello. I'm genuinely curious about a point you made in your post. You said that you are against elements that allow players to express creativity and add to or encourage social aspects in the game if I am understanding correctly. However, as you stated, the game is an MMORPG. An element of the game, by its label, is the capacity for roleplay. Which makes sense as the idea of MMORPG's evolved as digital representations of pen and paper D&D style fantasy tabletop roleplay games. This element doesn't automatically translate to ERP for everyone who engages in roleplay in the game, but it is something that has followed online games from the get go since EverQuest. So, I suppose my question would be why play a game advertised as an MMORPG if the possibility that RP might occur is so bothersome?
