Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I'd say that art, of the viera in the tree, is more elezen without the gangliness, and less elongated facial features. A bit like the females, which is why I like it so much as their masculine counterpart.

Really? I don't tend to look(or see) male elezen too much since they're often hiding their necks with full armor but I guess I could understand.

They were apparently revisiting their Sprint animation... so there's that.

It would be nice to have more customization points though.

Yoshida: With FF12, there are only female Viera appearing in the game. Due to that, we have no design references for the male versions. If we did create a male design for the Viera, he would be quite elegant, handsome, and slim. He would look more like the Elezen race, but with bunny ears.

Everybody seems to be forgetting that they just don't have the time right now to add the other genders. Shit, they're still working on completing the Hrothgar. At least they gave us two playable races, and I'm sure that down the road the other genders will get added just like they did for races in the past. At this point, if you wanted male viera and female hrothgar at release, we would be waiting another year to get Shadowbringers at all. It's not awesome to have to wait for something you're excited for, but if you'd rather not get anything at all that's on you. At least they aren't spitting half-assed, rushed models at us just to appease. Just my two cents on the topic.

There's no way they'll be able to complete the missing genders before the release of ShB, even if they wanted to. If it's to happen, we'll have to wait a bit. It's better than having it never happen at all, though!

Good to know they're already taking a look at the feedback and at least have some idea on how they'd like male Viera to look like. Personally hoping a body type like Omega M or some of the recently posted fanarts

I don't know, that's kind of exactly what they did. There's a lot of negative feedback about what we did get, and Yoshida himself admitted they were really pressed for time with both female Viera and male Hroth. Which, more so than these particular races, is all around cause for concern regarding the state of the game imo

No, we're aware that it won't be immediate. I mean the main concern was that they wouldn't be adding them at all, whereas in reality it is a resource constraint issue, so they may be open to it. It's not ideal but this may have been the only way they were willing to add in two races, anyway.
