Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Genderlocking is a outdated practice.

The lore reasons are flimsy at best. (Why is every Male Viera the same in not leaving the forest? Why have none ever thought to leave. Not every person of a race will conform to their culture with out question or deviation!)

I hope if they take the smart path and add Male Viera the look akin to:

Honestly? same, but I understand people that want more body type variety since that's pretty much an au ra with less BIRTHIN HIPS. I know soooome people wanted body types similar toooo this? While I'm not personally a fan I do think a 'less muscular' miqo'te archetype has some sort of merit.

+1 on male Viera! I play female almost exclusively, but I know loads of people who were hoping to play male Viera characters. Pretty disappointed in the gender locks.

question do you think they aren't male Viera I mean since ffxiv realm reborn they put out both female and male of character just because they only introduce female doesn't mean there isn't male Viera

I'd say that art, of the viera in the tree, is more elezen without the gangliness, and less elongated facial features. A bit like the females, which is why I like it so much as their masculine counterpart.

The Wandering Dramaturge in the Return to Ivalice content has a slew of information on Viera. Male Viera do exist, we know this. What we're upset about is the fact that we're not allowed to play as them.

I understand the team needed to decide where to dedicate resources, but it's very disappointing to come across a genderlocked race in a high quality and immersive game such as XIV. I was looking forward to the XIV team making history and introducing the male Viera alongside their known, female counterparts. I would still love to see them make this happen and leave their mark in showing the world their vision for male Viera and allow the players to experience it themselves.

Yoshi-P often refers to XIV as a theme park. Here's an opportunity to break new ground!
