Next Job Should be a healer

I am still amazing by the amount of dps only players who want another job and dont want new jobs for tanks and healers.

I don't think it's about not wanting new jobs for tanks or healers, at least that's not the case for me. I don't really care for a new DPS job either. It's just that, if they are bringing dancer, I'd like that job specifically to be a DPS so I can try it out more. Ultimately, they can introduce any number of jobs to any and/or all roles and I'll play whichever ones are interesting for me in the roles that I can play.

Sure you don't care if tanks or healers get new classes but god forbid they get something you might like. They should just get some boring uninteresting class as to not make dps players jealous.

You can try it out no matter what it doesn't have to be made a dps so you can brain dead try it out

I tried being brain dead DPS, then tanks complain that I should watch my aggro and healers complain that I should watch my health so they can just focus on tank and their own damage instead. /shrug

No I don't, do you know why?

Cause I can play all 3 roles. Yes I have a main class/role but I always have a class ready for whatever is needed. Right now I main Black Mage but play Warrior and Astro as well. Hell I spend more time on my alts sometimes since I run roulettes as them.

Wow you have 2 move 2 inchs in order to dodge a red mark and just spam combos that requires to much thinking for you or not get hate before thank goes in... if thats the case just quit lol...

Or, instead of quitting, I can continue playing as DPS and hope for interesting jobs for DPS, if they want to, while being ok if those interesting jobs end up being tank/healer instead.

Also that is different do you know how many jobs dps have 2 choice from there's pretty much a job for all types in dps.

Yet healer has barrier with pet or regen or card 3 options only.

As 4 tanks the only non booring one they got is drk

Honestly, that's irrelevant. If you're not interested in certain types of roles/subroles/jobs, it doesn't matter how many choices exist. And since FFXIV is a game that lets you play all jobs in one character, they're all choices for everyone, but like I said, that's irrelevant.

You play all three roles? That's great, you have nothing to worry about. I don't, so while I won't be jealous of healers if they get dancer because I have no attachment to any particular job, I'd still want it as DPS.

I don't think so. I've never seen a tank say they want Dancer to be a tank. Nor a tank or healer say it about Rogue or RDM. There was some talk about SAM being tank, but that's because they had originally considered the concept before settling on DPS.

There is a disproportionate number of DPS that want every new job to be DPS.

If that's true, then there's no problem. I do expect the next job would be a healer, whether it's dancer or something else. If it is dancer, then too bad for the people who want it to be DPS (like me), and that's ok. If somehow dancer is real but is DPS (and healer may or may not get something else), then that's fine as well.

You say that as if everyone doesn't want cool jobs in their role. Both tanks and DPS wanted DRK, SAM, and GNB. They're the Devil May Cry trio. I've accepted and am looking forward to GNB tank (I've had a feeling it would be tank for a long while), I just hope they do justice by it, personally.
