Gender locked race?

Except that the lore says that male Viera are EXTREMELY rare, which is one of the reasons they stay in the woods.

So if you suddenly see thousands of male Viera running around, that completely destroys the lore, just to satisfy a relatively small portion of the population.

I don't know, having Yo-Kai watch Minions, getting a flying car, hunting Rathalos, soon able to queue for a Nier raid, having Garo glamour, the Moonkeepers and Duskwings and whatnot isn't already destroying the lore?
I think some male bunnies will not change much in the end.
