I wish Gunbreaker would be a DPS class.

I get feeling bummed that it's not a certain role
but the fact that people rationalize it as "tanks don't deserve a new job" or "DPS need more melee you don't understand!" is kinda messed up.
Do you like ques? Do you want every tank player to quit out of boredom?

class changes down to a core would change that. Playing the shiny new class isn't always the answer for having fun in a game. While the same can be said for all aspects/classes, quitting out of boredom would also be down to the class designs themselves. I myself don't really care to play ninja or samurai all that much even though I like Samurai from a game play perspective, from an aesthetic point, I'm not a huge fan so it's hard for me to get into it and I haven't really enjoyed a new melee dps class in that way since 2.0.

does that mean I'll quit because of boredom? no. however, tanks have more appealing options to me over all, especially aesthetically. I doubt a lot of people are going to switch to gunbreaker and stick to it for longer than a month that are DPS mains. Unless, it plays well and better than their other classes. It could be there new go-to tank for instant queues when they don't want to melee though.

The main issue that I have with tanks currently though and why people probably play them less is they are fundamentally flawed currently and too intimidating to new players that don't have a certain amount of gear. the gameplay of tanks changes depending on how much gear you have and how much you overgear a fight. Kinda a weird design and people don't always like to find out that medium and they are instantly expected to be good since it's much more apparent when you aren't, so people don't play tanks as much that haven't already played tanks a lot. Also because it's not as fun to them. Make tanks more fun.
