What I'm curious about is the "and more" when the teaser website talks about new jobs. It's pretty safe to assume Dancer as a healer is coming, but I wonder if they will have another new DPS as well (ala the Heavensward expansion). If there is a new DPS, I'm curious what it might be.

I highly doubt they're doing three jobs again, unless you count BLU in that.

Double standards? That's an easy term to throw around. No, my standard is the one set by the game and it's own cross role system. Tank, Healer, Melee, Caster, Ranged. Of this cross role system, we have 4 tanks, presumably 4 healers, 4 melee dps, 3 casters, and 2 ranged dps. No dps jobs until 6 or 7.0 at the same job release rate we've had puts us at 6 tanks, 6 healers, 4 melee dps, 3 casters, and 2 ranged dps.

EDIT: I'm an idiot and can't count. I stand by my point for no DPS till 7.0.

Ranger dps are far less represented than tanks or healers. Only two jobs are in that role, if we're going to talk about needing variety.

Maybe the 3rd DPS Range Job can be the Cross-bow(or Gun)/Sword Job that follows similar to Red Mage range then melee then back to range fighting style but using a different energy system and mechanic focusing on performing combos with both range and sword skills instead of Red Mage play style which is 90% magic range and only 10% melee range.

I think hes wrapping BLU in with SHB as dps, unless theres something Im unaware of being announced.

A corsair (sword in one hand, gun in the other) would be pretty neat job to have. I've wanted one for a long while in FFXIV.

Honestly, i was hoping we'd get something like that in the Gunbreaker.. so if we get it with something else, sign me up. A sword/pistol or crossbow combo would be pretty nice (sword/shotgun even better :P); though, i would want more proc based mechanics for it to when it would jump back and fire the ranged stuff. So it was less of an inverse red mage and more it's own thing.
