Hey, if the Tank is literally "too angry to die" then we won't need a Healer for next expansion because every time the Tank reach 0 HP he or she will just be back right up to Max Hp again.
Jokes aside, it would be interesting if a future Tank use the "self res" mechanic. Having a Tank's entire mechanic focus on getting their HP to hit 0 to start up a full rage mode with their HP fully restored again may be interesting but they can only do this 1 time so they have to choose when is it worth entering the "too angry to die" 2nd Health bar mode that has a 10 minute attack, defense, and self healing regen buff.

Warriors are never "too angry to die." If they were then they will not need to worry about hitting 0 HP nor need a healer because their HP would go right back to Max HP with a huge stat buff for a certain amount of time whenever their HP hits 0.
To be fair, I'm expecting a chain whip sword or something for BST. They seem to be testing out the animation with DRK's seiryu greatsword. in FFV, they used whips as well. Especially since they seem to like to use FFV as a base for a few classes so far. So, it could be a thing. Scythe, maybe, but who? necromancer? We have a scythe in game from the store but they just threw that at a handful of classes.
a Kusarigama or chain blades could be a thing maybe? I'm not sure where it would fit to have chain blades when you are melee since the appeal is to have mid range/longer range attacks. So, would that be a ranged attack? I don't know..I guess if it functioned like kratos it could work though. Since they were essentially just dual swords. however, I'd like a Dual sword Mystic knight/spellblade as my dualsword melee class.

Hopefully Beastmaster haha. I would even be ok with Beastmaster being Limited if it had a full job branching from it (Morpher, uses captured beast souls to transform herself into one). That way players could avoid the dreaded pet management.

For one i think dps we have enough until 6 or 7.0 however ideas like Beastmaster would be cool or Valkyrie similar to that of Tera. At the same time i would not want jobs similar to what we already have.this makes me wonder though, What could be the next dps class anyways? Are melee dps really only going to be wanting Puppetmaster and beastmaster? I honestly find both of those boring. I've never been fond of pet classes, especially as a melee dps.
What else are people wanting as a DPS that isn't one of those 2? Since my hope for Mystic knight/spellblade as a dps is nothing but a pipe dream since it was a dps in TTa2 as spellblade but was a semi tank in FF5 (they were a better damage dealer with spells but mediocre in tanks besids some fights) which they take a lot of their class design from , and a tank in XI and IX (they were more agility/int tho which would be weird in this game but interesting a new. depends on if gunbreaker is agility tank).
Then I feel they will make a hammer class viking for a tank. I was personally on the boat of holding off on gunblade to make it melee dps so I could have a hammer tank, but once the leaks happened, the dreams were crushed.
I'm just glad we're getting a new tank (and most likely healer). If no new classes for these roles are added the pool of people willing to play these classes is unlikely to grow and might even shrink due to stagnation. When they added DRK and AST people tried tanking and healing, even though both where grossly under powered at launch.
Are they? It would make sense I guess to rework how weapon type debuffs work. I think it would make sense if things were a bit more varied but we have sooooo much slashing damage, three jobs for piercing, and ONE for blunt so it's kinda silly as is.

Even if the new jobs don't overall impact the ration of tanks/healers/dps much or at all, in the end, tank and healers still deserve to get new toys to play with too even if dps are the majority.I'm just glad we're getting a new tank (and most likely healer).
