    I skip eurka on this character its a nice thing when it first comes out however after 3-4 months you will never find a train period and soloing eurka rlly is more painful than when you do it within 2 months of it coming out. On my other chacacter i hit 20 got 2 sets of af in 2 days. On this char barely hit 8 with log and not even 1 piece of af... so pretty much its not worth it after the 3 months and tbh locking the weapons the way they did is just wrong the armor is fine but weapons need to more accessible.

    As much as I gripe about the dump that is Pagos, I'd still argue that Eureka is at least a baby step in the right direction. The fatal flaw of it though has been neglecting to realize that it's designed to be content for casual players, who are only willing to put so much time and energy into such an endeavor before they lose interest and find something else to spend their money time and energy on, and for Eureka, that will always be Pagos.

    If they kept the stats fixed for relics so they wouldn't be absolute BiS over Savage weapons, I'd be entirely okay with Eureka. If they didn't set the ability to use ground mounts at such a high level for absolutely no sound reason whatsoever, I'd be entirely okay with Eureka. And if they added content for DoH and DoL classes, I'm almost positive I'd stop thinking "I want Diadem back" every time someone even says the word "Eureka".

    Unfortunately, the charred remains of a dumpster fire's worth of content is the hand we, the players, have been dealt this time around. Here's hoping next time around, we'll have something that won't feel like such a mindless grind for casuals and an enforced nightmare for tryhards.

    If you think that Pagos is a dump then you haven't tried Pyros on a new char this late in the cycle. Starting there from scratch now is really, really painful and slow.

    No the flaw is the players conveniently forgetting that Eureka was never meant to be that.

So ppl see it and think its content intended for casual players, which they are obviously going to do since relic = casual is kindda part of the game at this point, so ppl cant be faulted for it.

    Another reason why they made a huge mistake by putting relics in Eureka instead of giving it it's own thing.

    Except that the Tome weapon was a casual alternative for the Savage weapon since the very beginning of Heavensward on top of being a better and more accessible weapon than the relic until almost the very end. Especially considering the most famous Anima step required to go collect items into Diadem, and having 8 different crafter specialists for very high level crafts...completely casual, right ? The only way for them to make the relic weapon shift more obvious would have been to call the tomestones "Tomestones of casuality".

    Wondrous Tails was also created to have another incentive to go back to old content instead of using the relic for it because people were bored of the relic just reusing existing content.

    Except that Yoshida clearly stated Eureka wouldn't be. So people felt betrayed by their assumption despite having been told the exact opposite.
    Of course they can be faulted for it.

    Another copy pasta thread that entails “no eureka pls/ I hate rng/its slow/it takes content away from other areas/I just wanted to spam roulettes for my relic/I’m casual and have 8 kids, 3 jobs, and can only be playing on Wednesday during a full moon.” Lemme just cover the bases

    Yes eureka please/you’re in the wrong genre of game/make friends/Do you really want 3 dungeons a patch back? Let’s delete savage and ultimate while we’re at it/tome weapons and 24 man will work just fine and that design is arguably worse then eureka, on top of that you cap tomes out much faster in eureka and it gives you another armor set to choose from/you shouldn’t be playing MMOs.

    And my fun opinion that the relic shouldn’t be accessible to someone if they’re not willing to put work in. Reguardless of what relic it is.

Eureka sure has a ton more assets, but all of the fight mechanics are simple AF and probably require minimal testing as they can all be cleared by the most casual of players.

    Maybe the real question should be "Is the grind worth the rewards?"

    By the time I could get something from Eureka I already have a Primal weapon - and since the relic is always behind by 10 points it's usually the better option.

    Yes I know at the end the relic is stronger and BiS but by the time we get a 405 relic the expansion is over...so what's the point?
