    No more eureka.

    I stopped the content during anemos, the premise was draining and the grind crushing. It physically hurt people.


    I think people should care about that last point a little more. The grind was so bad people hurt their hands doing it. Even if you patch that out that is a negative experience that isn’t—shouldn’t—-be brushed off.

    I'd really like to see the 5.0 relic not involve Eureka-style content whatsoever. I'm hoping that their announcement about "more Eureka style content for 5.0" meant adding more stuff to existing Eureka zones to keep it somewhat relevant, not adding another expansion's worth of Eureka tiers and putting another low-effort relic at the end of it. Seriously, i've only just got my Pagos weapon but will probably stop there because the final relic models look like garbage and aren't worth the grind.

    As much as I dislike Eureka post-Anemos, players have to use some self-discipline and decide when to call it quits. Yes, the content is a grind. No, you don't have to do it for hours on end. It's not the devs' fault if some people physically hurt themselves because they decided to play for unhealthily long periods of time.

    I quite liked Eureka up to the random stats stage. I even enjoyed pagos. Finding groups to power through it was a bit like "brothers in arms" we had a bond you had to be in Eureka pagos pre-fate train or pre light buffs to understand. It put into perspective when people moan they can't get to fates in time..we'll in the first few weeks fates weren't even spawning so be grateful you have them to miss out on lol

    Also, what's with the surge in threads lately where it's a case of "my opinion is important and deserves its own thread" lately? Couldn't you have said this in the original thread titled "Please god no" or whatever it's called. Especially since devs apparantely respond to larger threads it would help the cause to get a response too.

    Eureka's problems have mostly been that they've pretty much taken the worst parts of a lot of systems, and put them together.

    I came late to Eureka and I really, really hate it. It's not the design of the zone (very nice), the mobs and their challenges (different then the base game). It's the fact that this is so clearly designed to be tackled by groups of people that have your same level of progress. This might work at the start of a new zone or in Japan where people a groups together more then in the West but falls apart very bad here.
    Starting a new zone is extremely frustrating for new player (unless you have friend on a higher level that can protect/teleport/rez you) as everything kills you extremely fast while progress as a solo player is extremely slow. Creating such a system without any ingame means of grouping players was the greatest drawback of Eureka.

    This was asked at Fan Fest and they acknowledged the problem but can't do anything anymore for Eureka (understandably) but plan to adapt for the next version in 5.0.

    I mostly liked Eureka, but I don't really want them to do it again in the next expansion. The main problem I have with it is that they are so good at creating instanced battles and dungeons with scripted content, but they keep insisting on creating this type of grind content and annoying random content like deep dungeon. Basically, a bit of grindy content like Eureka is fun once in a while but I don't want it every expansion.

    Why would you not like Eureka? It's a collaboration with Cookie Clicker, and since it's a collaboration, it's good. And plot will explain it.

    I skip eurka on this character its a nice thing when it first comes out however after 3-4 months you will never find a train period and soloing eurka rlly is more painful than when you do it within 2 months of it coming out. On my other chacacter i hit 20 got 2 sets of af in 2 days. On this char barely hit 8 with log and not even 1 piece of af... so pretty much its not worth it after the 3 months and tbh locking the weapons the way they did is just wrong the armor is fine but weapons need to more accessible.

    As much as I gripe about the dump that is Pagos, I'd still argue that Eureka is at least a baby step in the right direction. The fatal flaw of it though has been neglecting to realize that it's designed to be content for casual players, who are only willing to put so much time and energy into such an endeavor before they lose interest and find something else to spend their money time and energy on, and for Eureka, that will always be Pagos.

    If they kept the stats fixed for relics so they wouldn't be absolute BiS over Savage weapons, I'd be entirely okay with Eureka. If they didn't set the ability to use ground mounts at such a high level for absolutely no sound reason whatsoever, I'd be entirely okay with Eureka. And if they added content for DoH and DoL classes, I'm almost positive I'd stop thinking "I want Diadem back" every time someone even says the word "Eureka".

    Unfortunately, the charred remains of a dumpster fire's worth of content is the hand we, the players, have been dealt this time around. Here's hoping next time around, we'll have something that won't feel like such a mindless grind for casuals and an enforced nightmare for tryhards.
