I can't comment on 1.0, but I can only comment on what has been said what has been laid down on ARR and going forward, especially with so much having been retconned from 1.0. Yeah, Louisoix did send forward in time people, but you're the only one when you're teleported in the Legacy character introduction. Even if 1.0 did once have multiple Warriors of Light, there's only one now. The game continues to only mention one Warrior of Light since A Realm Reborn - so far - and that's you. Shiva / Ysayle or any of the other Scions for people with the Echo have yet to be called as thus within the confines of the game. There is THE Warrior of Light, which is the POV character for FFXIV:ARR and all subsequent storylines. There are still multiple Warrior(S) of Light however. Sounseyy goes over it pretty well in this thread.
Not really?? ARR had the standard in-name-only cameos that pretty much every other FF game had... Every other part of the cameo had something that made it unique to XIV.
Unless shiva in every other game was an elf lady who got vored by her dog-dragon husbando.
No I agreed after re-reading your post and that thread. It's why my post was deleted, but I see I didn't get to it fast enough. Lol I was wrong after looking things up again and I apologies for the debate.I can't comment on 1.0, but I can only comment on what has been said what has been laid down on ARR and going forward, especially with so much having been retconned from 1.0. In ARR "warrior of light" was usually 50/50 "A warrior of light"/"Warriors of light" and the singular "warrior of light"/"Hydaelyn's chosen"I can't comment on 1.0, but I can only comment on what has been said what has been laid down on ARR and going forward, especially with so much having been retconned from 1.0. Oh. S'all good. Just took me a bit to read the link to see if I was missing something that suggested otherwise. D:
Then FanFest 2014 happened with a Q&A asking how many Warriors of Light are there and it was answered: one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Strictly speaking, the argument doesn't need to be that the males are in a ramshackle completely undone mess at the moment, just that they aren't up to the standards that they would like for a video demonstration of the class. There is a bit of room between "Tons of animations to do and make sure seams don't show for them, plus gear outfitting, and making sure there are no issues in cutscenes" and "fit to show at a live event."
That's what I am hoping anyways.
That's a lot of distance you leap to try and make a point. I HAVE played the final fantasies based on Ivalice. All you are doing is trying to marginalize the complaints of others by indicating they don't know what they are talking about. You can't make such a leap and say that the people unhappy are those that don't know better because they havn't played a specific game. Statistically you are almost guaranteed to be wrong, as I just proved since I did play the games and am not happy with the no male viera. But people think before writing here? Interestingly, the complaint comes from people who have never played a game based on Ivalice's universe.
The male scallops exist but to this day in no game have been shown to the point that the community itself say they are a myth. Or directly the race is Genderlock like in the other games or even they can not show the masculine version because it is much more difficult to do than the feminine one.

I mean, that's what pre-rendered cutscenes are for. The thing showing the Viera we saw.Strictly speaking, the argument doesn't need to be that the males are in a ramshackle completely undone mess at the moment, just that they aren't up to the standards that they would like for a video demonstration of the class.
