Being forced to skip the cutscenes on my first run through completely ruined my experience.
Watching them at the inn later was a huge mess, with the disjointed timeline jumping all over the place.

Option 1: "Ruin" only 1 time your experience ( for a shitty story cutscene that you will just don't care in the next minute of your life ) and that you propably watch in your room right after the fight. That not a realy big deal.

Option 2 : Ruin all of your daily roulette exeprience, day after day being forced to watch the same cutscene other and other until you commit suicide.

People that choose option 2 are crazy person. Being hurt 1 time or being hurt 1 million time and harder ... that basicly the option.

Those are not "the options". Just because you think the story is worthless and forgettable doesn't mean you can judge that for somebody else. It's not a big deal for you, but it is for others. And the writers clearly intend for it to be a big deal.

You know what is "an option"? Running the optional roulette to receive the reward that is intended to pay you for the time (rather than effort) spent completing it.

If it hurts you to do it, don't do it, and leave it for those who are willing to suffer through it - or have developed a coping strategy. Or, heavens forbid, are actually there to enjoy the story and won't forget the experience five minutes later.

If you are invested in the story it is a genuinely exciting climax, and experiencing it in a coherent, linear sequence will greatly add to that enjoyment. It simply cannot be fully replicated at the inn afterwards.
