Limited jobs is a bad idea. This is too important a message to have sink into obscurity.

BLU's exclusion, the things that it cannot do, are the takeaways of limited job implementation. Its forced participation into party content leaves it forced to accept handouts from the more complete and higher level jobs.

Being banished from the msq and kept out of progession only makes it more pointless in the face of vertical progressions's reliance on tomestones and raids.

I really want to stress this. I don't want Square-Enix to think this implementation is something that people are okay with, not only for BLU but for future jobs as well. Having the job be limited from current end game raids is one thing, and even THAT would be a questionable decision with regards to the actual power of the blue mage job. But at least that would let people play the BLU in a more normal environment and let them farm for their own gear.

Squenix is trying to police the playerbase instead of letting the playerbase police its own. Even now I see people in dungeons not using what are considered to be basic skills and most of the time, the other players politely tell them what they are missing. Blue Mage wouldn't gain an immediate benefit from it but they would learn how to improve themselves.

Keep the increased experience from fighting in the open world, make the Masked Carnival a location to go for rare abilities so you aren't forced to rerun old content ad infinitum, and if you feel its too broken, don't allow them to do progression fights. Everyone wins, and we get future jobs that while limited, can at least do most of the content.
