ok so adding those few if statements into the leveling code now you have to make sure said if statements don't interrupt any other line of code in 2.x, 3.X, 4.X along with ensuring said leveling problem fixes do not interfere with any other leveling system in the game including fates/dungeons/levequests/guildhests/roulettes/PvP/Potd/HoH/Eureka/Blu as they either change amount exp is gained or have their own exp system that you must not interfere with imagine this blu exp exploit in eureka for elemental exp so yes i would find going through 3 expansions worth of code and their side content to make sure 2 lines of code work without incident a nightmare but if you feel it takes 5 mins give said solution+money+time to SE i am sure they would love it
Not a huge deal, but when using "The Look" as BLU, the cast bar has a lower case "t" in "The." I adore the job though - haven't had this much fun tanking in years. One thing I ask though is that Mighty Guard remove the enmity dump from Lucid Dreaming... Sometimes we need more MP than Blood Drain provides but I hate to risk my party's life just for some extra MP...
Is it?Because i find it very hard to believe that a lvl 50 blue mage with just water cannon can clear most the carnivale content.Levling doesnt give you spells it only gives you the extra actions like swiftcast etc..You clearly play the job so i'd hope you know this. This is simply untrue, Blue Mage carnival is a super easy way to get seals and has rendered Hunts immaterial as the carnival has weekly challenge bonuses for stages, and this is just the pre-expansion release of the character. They have already said limits will be increased after expansion, which means both blue mage level cap and the type of rewards from carnival will increase.
I also suspect they will add a weekly duty specific for blue mages either in next expansion or before it.
Infact they cant even enter carnivale with just water cannon because you need to gain certain spells just to finish story to access it.You also need to aqquire 10 spells to get white wind,Otherwise you cant heal yourself .Does power leveling to lvl 50 suddenly gain you that? No.
They still have to do the exact same things everyone else has to do.The only difference here is a few hours saved grinding trash and thats it.

Imagine caring how people level up this hack fraud job when the real content are the carnival and grinding the 5% chance spells.
Honestly, I think this whole thread can be summed up like so. "Waaaah! Someone is doing stuff in such a way that I don't approve of, please nerf/fix/punish the unbelievers who didn't do it like I did"
Eh... thing is, most people seem to be done, at least on my server. There's not even anyone trying to get the Hunt spell on Northern Thanalan anymore.
Greetings and salutations, adventurers.
Possibly have to wedge it between and make sure it doesn't break with the changes they already have in place for 5.0.To be fair, I'm not sure the delay is due to the complexity of the code so much as it is how delicate and important the system in question is. Even small amounts of code can have bugs in them, and I can only imagine how much more thorough the testing cycles are for big updates, not to mention expansions, compared to hotfix patches. Which is more than a valid consideration.
Edit: I also remember the 'delay' in slaying quests/hunt logs/relic book steps, and they might also fix that as well. And that's a whole can of worms in itself to make it work in every scenario possible without problems.
The 'suggestion' of OP's hotfix isn't smart, either - What if I am in duty queue for DPS, but am dealing with a monster as a Paladin and the queue pops?
