We did not get the equivalent of the alpine coat. We got the dress you see on the material suppliers. That's still kinda what they did here; the actual equivalent item to the female-only Ishgardian-styled gown would be the unisex Alpine coat we got as a quest reward a while back, since they're from the same place and a similar style. Releasing it alongside the smock, which is a Doman-styled item is unfair to both male and female characters, because on the one hand, female characters now have two pieces of Ishgardian-styled gear while male characters only have one, while on the other hand, male characters got a Doman-styled piece of gear while female characters got nothing to match it.
I'm starting to think that SE honestly believes that unlocking the bunny suit was ALL anyone wanted, and now that that's done they're good as long as they don't go too many patches without adding a male item. There were other things people wanted unlocked, too (The female Thavnarian set was as hotly requested as the Bunny set, and spawned a huge topic with some very creative ideas for how to rework the set for male characters without actually having to change much, the Expeditioner's set also got a lot of attention), and no matter how many male-only sets they release, there's still a backlog of female-only/unisex item pairs that they need to do something about, not to mention the sets where the female version is a unique item while the male version is a reskin of something already in-game.
