    Not really, no. The wrapper is made by TransGaming, not Square Enix. It's the same deal as with anti-cheat stuff like Denuvo and such. They just license a third-party tool and implement it into their code.

    Or at least it did use that when released. Maybe they changed it, but it'll still most likely not be made by Square Enix. There is just no business reason for that as developing their own wrapper would cost more than just making a native version which is strictly superior to any middleware tool.

    Sorry for the bit of a late response, but even though that's technically correct, it misses the point--namely that the question being posed is whether or not a Mac version of XIV will continue to be supported in 5.0. Whether Square Enix licenses a 64-bit compatible wrapper instead, or makes a native Mac version in-house, the reason I posted this is a concern over whether the devs intend to maintain Mac support long-term.
