NIN gets gains on every hit landed during TA, every hit made is stronger. WF gains nothing until it wears off, every hit is the same damage, WF is just an extra bit of damage at the end but only at the end. While NIN burst is similar in execution, TA is much better because of the instant gains. Additionally, it affects the party damage too.

Self buffs, like Overheat or Raging Strikes, have the advantages of no target needed and they can be applied for AoE. The disadvantage is that they don't affect the raid. Target debuffs, like Trick attack or Chain Stratagem, have the advantage of improving raid dps. The disadvantage is target requirement and single target only. Raid buffs are basically the best of both worlds. Wildfire is the worst of both worlds. That's the point I was trying to make.
