I welcome the lower prices on everything once the initial chaos dies down. I'm lazy to farm gil and I mostly buy vanity items off the MB and having them at lower prices will be a boon for me.

Some worlds will end up lower, some will end up higher. Some servers might find the things they've come to rely on to make money no longer do, while others might find that they can no longer afford the things they used to...... Or it could be totally fine, but that's not them most likely outcome.

Why would any end up higher when every person has the option to buy it from someone selling lower. It will take time to balance out, to be sure, but the only reason you would price stuff higher than the "average" would be to catch lazy people who didn't want to bargain shop and at that point... it's kinda their fault. Some worlds will end up lower, some will end up higher. Wonder if the infusion prices are going to tank even harder now that the bot farmers have to worry about cross-server competition.
It could actually result in an awful situation where people are forced to adopt unreasonably low prices if their server happens to be one of the odd few that doesn't have a MB dominated by bots.

There was one week where the fashion report was theorized to use the highland coat, so people rushed the market and bought it out. It didn't even end up being the right item, but the price was increased 10x just the same. It didn't go back down either. All it took was one person buying out all the cheap ones. There's a lot of people with ridiculous amounts of gil. Like needing alts because they have max gil kind of ridiculous. Any server where things are cheaper will just have everything bought out, and the price will increase with that pretend demand.
That's another fear I have is that people with too much money will try to control the data center's supply of limited, but high demand items just so they can price gouge. There was one week where the fashion report was theorized to use the highland coat, so people rushed the market and bought it out. It will probably cause the RMT to bottom-out because now they don't need to have RMT bots on every server, they can just take over the lowest-populated server and flood it with so much stuff that no real craftig player will want to stay. Then they have smuggler bots that cause massive amounts of gil to be transferred to other servers.
There is no cross-server competition, the bots are run by the same scammers. They're more likely to either:Wonder if the infusion prices are going to tank even harder now that the bot farmers have to worry about cross-server competition.

a) tank the price of all items that can be gathered
b) buy up all high-value items and either keep them off the market or maximize the price.
At any rate the easiest fix is to only allow items to be bought, not sold via the world visiting system. eg you can goto X, and buy up all of Y item, but when you come back to your server, you can't sell Y item.

Very good idea being unable to sell the item you bought from a different server. At least if sellable make it have a huge tax like a tariff.
On one point it hurts a worlds economy but on the other it helps people buy hard to get items due to low server populations. Dammit, I hate being able to see both sides of an argument. ><
Prices are going to be hyperinflated for a very long time.
They will not drop to the lowest prices of the cluster, they will rise to the highest.
