World Visiting system

I'm making this post shortly after they showed off in the live letter about the system, that you can buy items from the world you visit. I'm going to list some concerns

1. with the ability to buy from market board this could cause "some people" to raid servers to buy up one item.

2. Prices will level out but not for a long time.

I think the community for FFXIV is great, but my worried is for those few people out there, that will use this system for ill. I would ask to rethink about the buying thing.

I hope a system can be figured out to help with this concern.

I do agree. Crafting/playing the marketboard game is endgame for a lot of players I know, and this is only going to take the fun and enjoyment out of that for them. I hope it's reconsidered.

After the initial few months, when the prices balances out, it will be a way bigger market for all crafters concerned.

Agreed. Either share the marketplace completely, from the start, or limit trades to cross-world friends at most.

I think they actually wanted to do that and couldn't. I remember a comment along those lines on the live reddit updater.

I'm also concerned about this. People can just purchase something in a destination world for cheaper, move back to their own, and resell at a higher price. Also, what about RMT?

"Oh look, this item here selling for 500k on my server is only 10k here. Let me buy it all and go back to sell it for massive profit!"

Also...

"Okay, so let's move all of this gil between servers now by selling an Allagan Silver piece for 999,999,999 gil on this board and have one of our mules buy it."

Why would someone buy cheaper on one world and resell higher on another, when everyone can go shopping for the best prices, and that's exactly what this new system will do, enable lower prices across the board.
As it is, the EU economy is insane, people pay 1m for an item that uses 20k worth of material, no more shall you.

I predict that the prices for all items would drop, as there would be more competition for all items on all worlds. There will be a lot more undercutters, so make your money now peeps!

People from high inflation servers would benefit the most, since they will have more money in their pocket to quickly buy items from the low inflation servers.
