Wonder if the infusion prices are going to tank even harder now that the bot farmers have to worry about cross-server competition.

It could actually result in an awful situation where people are forced to adopt unreasonably low prices if their server happens to be one of the odd few that doesn't have a MB dominated by bots.

On one point it hurts a worlds economy but on the other it helps people buy hard to get items due to low server populations. Dammit, I hate being able to see both sides of an argument. ><

Prices are going to be hyperinflated for a very long time.

They will not drop to the lowest prices of the cluster, they will rise to the highest.

Balmung sellers would be wise to jack their prices up immediately before the patch drop as it is going to get zerged by the other servers.

I'm sure they mentioned that you cannot visit worlds listed as "Congested" and even populated worlds if they hit a certain number of online at once etc, though you will be able to go back to your world even if its "full".

My concern with this is that the lower populated servers will struggle to sell anything without severely undercutting, because the prices on those servers are high due to the low population. People will just visit other servers to buy things, so those lower pop servers will struggle to sell anything, and thus struggle to make any money at all to buy anything period. And since you can only sell on your own server, well...

I can only say that I'm concerned for the economic chaos that will occur for all servers at this point.

You can view MB prices across all servers online. It would only take one person per item to view the prices and adjust their selling price. Other sellers on the server will follow suit if they wish to sell items in a timely fashion. Larger servers will have the advantage of being the first place uninformed players go, but smaller servers won't have issues with congestion.

Why do you think lower population worlds will suffer when they will soon have hundreds and thousands of new visitors to buy their wares.
They will only suffer if they want to try extort huge profits like they currently are.

Why would hundreds of people go to the lower populated and more expensive worlds to buy things?

Even if they couldn't go the most populated and cheaper ones, they can still go to the ones a step below. And it's not just those lower pop worlds I'm concerned for. I'm concerned for the entire economy as a whole. Higher pop worlds will have their cheaper items bought up, which will inflate prices, and lower pop worlds will have no one buying their stuff causing deflation. The hope is, of course, that it all balances out. Until then, lower pop worlds will have to adjust to not making as much, and higher pop worlds will have to adjust to spending more.

As a crafter, I see two sides to this. Yes, people will buy things off other servers that are cheaper and as much as I could drive the price of an item up on one server I would find it hard to do on all of them. You buy out an item an hour or two there will be several for some expensive prices, within 12 hours most items are flooded out again. So there may be attempted abuse by players or mule money. On the other hand, I feel like it would open up the market to buy items that are hard to get on my server. I have checked other servers and sometimes they have rare items that no one uses and I can't find any for weeks up to months on my server. People I need to craft its what I do let me get my resources. FYI crafters don't always make a profit. Try making a sword that cost 2 million and people undercut and no one buys till it sells under a million. It happens more than you would like to think.
