Core of this game could use a change I'm sure.

With that said - It the content that being released in this game that the problem. It the problem of content only coming every 3-4 months and it being played for a whole month and then never touched again. It the problem of content having no fun to it, being the same thing rather then something new and refreshing. It a problem when they do release content and make it worse. I could deal with Eureka, it was boring but at least it was ok. Pogos is just down right horrible and has in turn made Eurkea horrible also.

One thing I've always said - SE should've stuck to what they knew worked for them rather then trying to follow a gen that they clearly can't do correctly. The game itself, the mogstation, the phone app, all are broken. And what worse, none of our money is going back toward XIV to expend it resources and the likes. It keeps going to other SE titles.

And let face it, did you all see the Halloween event this year? All housing items....but the two minions.
I'm sorry for the people who don't have/can't get a house because their on a high pop server or just don't want a house. This coming event in my opinion was lazily done.
This game needs more sandbox elements. Elements introduced into the sandbox seldom become obsolete, which is the main advantage. At the moment, the biggest sandbox in the game is the housing wards, and I suspect the biggest reason why people keep their subs.
The dungeons and raids and gear sets only have limited shelf-life, so it can be easy to identify them short-term investments that really don't pay off in the long run. Any players that join the game in 5.0 are going to end up bypassing so much of the work that was put into the expansions. A key problem I'm identifying on the forums is that the zones outside the cities are almost devoid of players because there's very little to do in those zones. Some more sandbox elements can go a long way in making the world useful and interesting to the player base, and thus make it more lively.

And I agree, the Halloween rewards are sadly pathetic. Did the devs get a major budget cut or something? What's going on there?
