Few close friends quit FFXIV, one wants to explain why, hopes SE improves the game

Indeed, twas the core aspects of the game which I was referring to, which I should of made clearer in my post. As you have said while the core is the same pretty much everything else has changed.

It not the core of a game that was being talked about though, so yes, I misunderstood what you were talking about and apologize.
Core of this game could use a change I'm sure.

With that said - It the content that being released in this game that the problem. It the problem of content only coming every 3-4 months and it being played for a whole month and then never touched again. It the problem of content having no fun to it, being the same thing rather then something new and refreshing. It a problem when they do release content and make it worse. I could deal with Eureka, it was boring but at least it was ok. Pogos is just down right horrible and has in turn made Eurkea horrible also.

One thing I've always said - SE should've stuck to what they knew worked for them rather then trying to follow a gen that they clearly can't do correctly. The game itself, the mogstation, the phone app, all are broken. And what worse, none of our money is going back toward XIV to expend it resources and the likes. It keeps going to other SE titles.
We can sit here and be optimistic about the future of the game and being in Yoshi hands, but let face it, I personally can only be optimistic for so long. 2.0 brought on a welcome change from 1.0 but here we are now, 4.4 and more and more I'm losing faith in Yoshi and SE. Being a long time player of SE games, and apart of XI since it release all the way up to 2014 (and still playing during free login events), it disheartening at this point.

I'm not asking for changes to happen with a snap of the finger either. I'd have faith if I saw changes and actual fixes over time. Not band aid fixes where people still find loop holes around the rules (aka housing system), or make something worse rather then better. I'd have faith if content had long lasting play value, was rewarding, and fun. I'd have faith if SE would stop falling back on the mogstation and putting everything known to man in it (at least stop putting past event seasonal stuff in it! that just dumb beyond belief). And most of all, I'd have faith if we were seeing our money going back toward the game we are paying for to expend it and make it better. I'd also feel better if they'd stop lying to us. My biggest problem with this game is the housing system. We've been lied to about it since the get go. Way back before housing was even released, Yoshi said we'd have nothing like most games with having maintenance up keep fees, or demo timers, but look at us now, we got demo timers and why? Because SE/Yoshi couldn't do housing correctly and supply it to the whole player base.

And let face it, did you all see the Halloween event this year? All housing items....but the two minions.
I'm sorry for the people who don't have/can't get a house because their on a high pop server or just don't want a house. This coming event in my opinion was lazily done.
