Then you should know how different each of the content patches and updates were, along with what was added to the game, which kept the core (which honestly, I don't think will ever change), but still brought new and exciting features to keep the community going. Well, up until abyssea, then it kind of changed till a few years later after Seekers and the final expansion released, before renewing again with older and newer content. The only thing that really stayed the same, was the grind for level. Outside of that, endgame was always something different.

You also didn't need to play dynamis one week, and still could access limbus that week in place of einherjar among other endgame events. So you always felt like you had a lot to do. And more so not enough time. But it was always new. New new new. Which was kind of the point in my post lol. It wasn't like lords of vermillion or diadem (which was just a basic pumpkin spice latte double shot venti) version of a fate system.
