I'm a flames and I try, I swear! 22% win rate ftl.I played a pretty reasonable amount in 2.0/3.0, for frontlines anyway. Had a decently large linkshell for casual pvp, but when feast was introduced it all fell apart and most people moved on to try feast and quit shortly after. After that, the option to queue as a freelancer was added. While this is a great option for easing the terrible queues, it did kill a bit of "grand company pride" that I feel helped form bonds with people. I personally didn't care for the 4.0 changes, the change to pvp gear being only glamour, and all of the feast in general. Now on primal data center, it feels like only maelstrom has real players while the others are mostly bots so there is no enjoyment to doing frontlines anymore.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
