Unless mobs hit like a train or there's a point where it's a bad idea, large pulls in leveling dungeons is generally a thing unless it's super low level and no one has an AOE.Not to be rude but it sounds like the next tank got a free ride to an easy quick dungeon.
I main a tank myself and peopel who kill slowly, aren't able to keep up with healing, or are just generally not quick paced in general are the downsides you encounter. Finding a party that does more damage than me and wants to go fast is like a godsend.
It 100% is in any level capped dungeon.
Levelling dungeons are an exception of course, even when level capped.
*tacks on to ending statement* That way, when you try, and still aren't that good at it, they can chastise you for being bad at trying, too. Welcome to FFXIV.
The only way to truly improve is to not play.

And for lower dungeons than that, the invincible scholar can healtank it all, with or without the tank's permission.

Can confirm. Pulling as a healer or main healing a DPS that pulled early (especially if the tank refuses to participate at any point to "teach a lesson") is what I enjoy about healing. Also rescue, rescue on cooldown.I was with you till this last post. But theres a few red flags there for me.
You likely met a pre made who were not in cuddle mode and wanted to get their stuff done. If the healer is not kept busy by the tank they find stuff to entertain themself such mischievous things.
Adapt and learn, why not try his way before refusing it outright.
Healing fun doesn't come from being pious, it comes from sacrilege.
Wanna try toxic? Try being a healer in Arum Vale where the tanks point blank refuse to use tank stance, let the rest of the party including the healer getting beat up hard that everyone dies, doesn't use the fruits when they should, and blames the healer for being bad that they even go as far as vote kicking the healer out. I've stopped healing because of elitists like these. Arum Vale is NOT the place to play pseudo-dps, the mobs hit hard and use a lot of poison-based attacks and some will even use silence attacks which means no heals. I've seen it happen so many times in lower level leveling dungeons with tanks in dps stance and it makes me wish they just did away with it and give tanks a permanent dps boost or a temporary stance like cleric stance that doesn't overwrite the tank stance.

Gaius van Baelsar: Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?

It's not the map that is having problem. It's the people that decide to be a dick and refuse to adapt in certain situation to fit in with the rest of the party (tank mass pulling when there's new players who have no idea how the map works, or in your example Aurum Vale, when the environment is surrounded with poison and requires a deep explanation and patience when there are new players, yet the people who knows the map thought the party would be ok if they do things in that person's way and cause a drama from the beginning to the end with all the blame games)Wanna try toxic? not pointing fingers and complaining of anything on late 2018

Half this thread is toxic. These elitist need to learn you can’t have your own way every time nor can you bend people to your will. The healer could have just asked for bigger pulls rather than act all snarky.. a couple of extra mins isn’t going to kill anyone. I never vote kick anyone unless they show they’re a liability by causing wipes or are too toxic to belong there

and this is why we have people not tanking. Sorry there are members in our community like this. Thankfully this is a relatively small minority but they are here sadly
