So.. i just got my first toxic party

I'm a new player, DRK, half month and i was just on 50/60 roulette after a work day, and i got a scholar as a healer(I didnt get the name) it was amdapor keep, and it was fine until the healer started to use sprint and splitting the mobs, i asked her to stop and she said "tank better". I dont get mad with these things, its just, i wanted to play and do what i'm supposed to do, cause i love tanking, a lot. It's frustrating and i'm always trying to improve myself and do better, so please, if you think someone is doing something wrong, help them, don't start to rush the dungeon or something like this, doesn't matter which game you came from, WoW, Priston Tale, LOL, i think this game is amazing already and no one need this kind of player to just ruin your dungeon.

It's fine to be new, but if you were going slower or something, not pulling multiple groups, it's almost expected someone else will. (i'm running on the assumption that this is what happened considering they had stuff to pull)

There's very little danger in most things, and if the healer was confident in their abilities, you gotta put them to the test. Especially so in a level synced dungeon like that, where you're very likely geared up to the maximum amount.

Another small note, you mentioned they used sprint. You should too! Helps keep the pace.
Perhaps they shouldn't have been so rude about it, but their point does stand that you can take on more than you likely were. Be the tankiest of tanks and pull the things!

Lots of folks want to go go go and as a tank, while it's your job to set the pace so to speak, people will push it. Some don't get it until you wipe a bunch. When I was leveling DRK I had a healer and DPS berate me for not pulling wall to wall, despite my saying at the start I was the level of the instance and had slightly lower level gear. You just learn where your gear lines up, because as much as a healer can be skilled, they aren't going to want to spend an entire pull keeping you up and not wanting to DPS themselves. If you know you can't wall to wall pull, don't let them shove you into it (or you can try, I mean, maybe it'll be fun). If they get impatient and pull and die, that's on them. Lots of folks want to say "the healer can handle it!" but it also has to be you can handle it.

Enemies in most dungeons hit like wet noodles and have no mechanics other than "don't stand in orange". You can probably pull more than you think! Plus if you want to improve, there's no better way than by doing. I didn't start actually feeling comfortable on tank until I got the knack for wall-to-wall pulls myself.

Don't be afraid to ask them to slow down or initiate a vote kick if they're really asinine though. Pulling for the tank is a jerk move unless the tank has agreed to it.

*tacks on to ending statement* That way, when you try, and still aren't that good at it, they can chastise you for being bad at trying, too. Welcome to FFXIV.

It's actually very easy: if you don't want to deal with the mobs they pulled then don't pick up their trash. If the healer really wants to tank then let him.
I find it incredibly rude, esp. toward a new player, to push you into something you are not familiar with.

Welcome to FF. Bad player behavior is why I got most of my 370 from Hunts.

"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."

Take their criticism of you and learn from it. I know it’s hard, but the best you can do is trust their actions. Meaning that healer is probably really good and knows what they’re doing. If you followed them you would probably learn how to be faster, knowing they would be able to keep you alive. Perhaps you would of learned something else. It’s like being under the spot light and the pressure is on. Like a test.

I know people will usually defend the tank in this scenario, but taking advice like what you described and following through is good experience as a new tank. Just go with it. It’s only one dungeon run. That was the chance to push yourself.

Keep it up though and don’t be afraid of criticism. You will grow.

That's not toxic, chain pulling trash groups is the norm @70, in my experience maybe out of every 50 runs 1 run is a tank that single group kills and he is a newbie to dungeon 9 out of 10 times(or a really bad tank that 1 time). You are not suppose to pull kill one trash group at a time, but drag trash groups until you hit the "trash barrier wall" (ie walls that break when you kill all trash). Of course if your tank/healer/dps suck you pull less.

Thats not true, depending on how things go, the team might ask the tank to pull harder (or the opposite if the tank is going too hammy), but a healer pulling mobs on purpose is a dick move. If when im tanking some smartass thinks thats the proper way to ask for a bigger pull, ill keep shirking his ass as well as not tanking his mobs so he learns to be more polite about asking things.

If the tank is not pulling more might be for a reason and forcing him to do it like it or not is not the way to go. Another thing is talk about it and the tank agreeing to pull more. Otherwise is the old "you lure you tank it"
