Post about toxicity in dungeons leads to toxicity in thread. Good times

Seriously playing tank is fun but its also a pain too with PUGs on leveling roulette.

Healers shouldn't run off pulling without saying anything first because its a dick move and personally im going to let you tank it. You want big pulls ask then? If I pull big better rotate correctly. Too many times healers get so focused on dpsing...well you knwonthe rest

DPS please avoid the big orange stuff. Thats bad and makes the healer job even more difficult. Think of the orange stuff as lava. Lava bad. Also use goad when can makes life alot easier for tanks that need tp.

Tanks dont be aftaid of big pulls. If they ask try it, use your cooldowns. Keep aggro, dont freak out if you die heale4 will get you back up and get back in there. But keep a couple of pots handy just in case. Also if its your first run watch a video ifnthe dungeon to get an overview particularly the boss flights.

But don't let the toxicity get to you. It will still happen.

It’s really easy to remember these toxic moments, I can even remember getting booted from a group I was tanking on my then Tauren Warrior back in 2007 in WoW...

But the OP should also remember that it took them some time and many levels before this moment happened.

I remember that 2007 group boot because it still accounts for a small number of times such things have happened...

Toxicity stands out in the mind, but it is also a lot rarer than our selective memory tends to cause us to believe.

When I'm tanking and someone decides to pull a group I specifically did not pull, I let them learn from their mistake and let them die or at least sweat before picking up the enemies. I don't care if you're "go go go", tanks set the pace. If you want to do big pulls, you tank. And it just seems really rude and irresponsible for some random DPS to run ahead, pull 3+ enemies, then run back to me like a child running back to their mom because they just swatted a hornet's nest. You pull, you tank. Full stop.

Why are people repeating this fallacy about tank setting pace? The pace should be adjusted if DPS is too weak to burn enemies or healer can't keep up. Tank simply moves first and it's his job to adjust pace based on team, not choose it himself. If tank is too slow it's same as other job failing at their role.
Sure, other might be wrong too. Pulling when tank is busy is also risky and mean. But some tanks should get off their high horse - and I'm saying it as someone who mained tank for quite some time.

With great deeps comes great enmity.

I used to think this way when I was new, until I played more and realized just how much you can tank without dying in this game. Wall to wall pulls are a thing because they're doable.

If someone else pulls extra mobs, it's usually because they are a competent player and are confident the group can handle the load because of that.

They could be wrong, but I find they almost always are right. I don't think I've ever had someone pull more mobs and then the group wipe because it's too much. It just means I need to pick up the pace.

Tbh mate, its as easy as this(i play as tank aswell)(PLD) i do pull from wall to wall, as i just heal myself if the healer cant, BUT the few times i know i cant pull anymore, and some random guy/gal pulls.. i just 100% let them tank it, worst case scenario, they die, then you pick up the mobs, or you guys just wipe.. from the good old days of mmo's, if you pull, you tank it! if they cant accept that.. then that's their problem

the next time the healer does that to you let him eat the mobs and die, then kick him from the party. The tank sets the pace, and the other follow what the tank is comfortable with pulling.
