Operative word being you. Plenty of people either don't care about the story at all, have max level friends they'd prefer to play with or are leveling an alt. If your only goal is raiding, for instance, being gated by hours upon hours of story you aren't interested in will feel like little more than a chore. Jojoya's point is essentially, "don't force people to engage in something they aren't interested in."

To be perfect honest, if raiding is your only purpose in a storydriven MMO I don't think this is the game for you.

Don't forget that experienced players may make use of the pot for a new alt.

Also, it's a sale. Like, we're going to be so nitpicky now that we're going after sales now?

I have no issues with sales, I think having sale on a skip potion is bit much. Guess I'm alone with that opinion seeing how all replies so far in this thread been like it's a good thing to skip everything.

Although to be fair, we could also say that Road to 60 (on preferred worlds) is also a bad thing, even worse than the story skip or job potions. Players can't turn off the 60 buff and it's not uncommon to hear new players often complaining that they are way overleveled for their current main story quests, this is even before they reach an expac!

I mean in the end people play the game for different reasons, some for the story, others for the combat or crafting, some of us play it for a bit of everything so if there is a market for people that want to skip parts of the game, well least they have the option. It would be nice to have more opportunities to level or even de-level in the main game, beats having to make an alt anyway.

It's a double edged sword. I think Road to 60 is a good incentive to pick a low pop server in order to populate it more but I understand people's complaints about out leveling everything.
