. . . AOE abilities shouldn't be useful on single target. That's the point of aoe abilities. Not everything has to be useful in every situation.

Let's change Circle of Scorn, Doton, Foul, Salted Earth, Shadow Flare etc. then because they're AoE abilities first and that's gotta be a dichotomy. This line of logic sounds extremely flawed. Dark Passenger was quite usable in Heavensward and there's no reason for it not to be right now. Dark Knight already has Salted Earth, Quietus, Abyssal Drain, and (ugh) Unleash for AoE, Dark Passenger being a STRICTLY AoE ability seems a waste of a cool animation and Dark Knight defining attack for the class.

Because Dark wouldn't have enough buttons to press as is.
