Cash shop pricing is getting a bit much...

Exactly this. Why should I pay so much for few pixels when I can buy whole new game with same amount of money?

I am relatively new to this game but after i checked Mog station for the first time it amazed me how expensive these things are considering this is sub game and not F2P.

I think it's because, when they first added the shop, it mostly/only contained returning event items, and they've kept those at a lower price point. Then, after people requested they also bring over the Chinese exclusive items, they started introducing new cash shop exclusive items at the higher pricing tier (while continuing to add seasonal rewards at lower price points). So because all the "new items" are more expensive, it creates a perception that prices have gone up.

It's also often the case that the new items are added to the cash shop during patch lulls (rather than coinciding with patches and seasonal events as the others often do), which draws even more attention to these new items and their prices. Obviously introducing these items at that time is a marketing strategy (since it doesn't get buried by other news), but I think it's also partly what's fueling this perception of an increased focus on the cash shop (since it's right during those lulls when people think "they could have added this to the game!").

I remember the first mog station armor set being like 5 bucks. And then 12. Then Minfilla's outfit was 15 dollars, because Minfilla is super special main character!

Then it went up to 18 bucks. And now every outfit has stayed 18 bucks.

Look at the first emotes and the last one prices as an example. Going from 4 to 6 to now 12...

Also first asian items where cheaper for the same amount of gear. I really remember getting upset at it because I bought them all and saw the pricing going up on the next ones.

I see repeat event emotes for 2/3 dollars. Unique for 7 and one 12 dollar megaflare. This is because they're different types, not because they're just jacking up prices as they go.

Event emotes have always been 2 dollars (with the exception of the Go Ranger poses—those are three dollars because you get “two” of them). Shop-exclusive emotes have always been 7 dollars. I’ll conceed on Megaflare because I completely forgot it was $12 and is a little weird.

As for the Asian items, are you talking about the Moonfire yukatas? Because those are old event items, which is why they’re priced so much lower than the regional Asian gear. If you mean the first regional set I’m not sure what you mean because the Eastern Togi set was $18 from day one.

she has a concern with the price of an item. Most people will NOT buy an item they find too expensive.

Yeah, pretty sure that's the issue ;v they don't want to break the bank in order to own the item. Hence wanting it to be cheaper.
