Can we also get a poll option for the people who played XI but didn't like it so they quit? I'd be in that group >.>This has got to be the most preposterous thing to be stubborn over. You are only saying this to stand firm on the ground and for the sake of not giving another person validation in what they are saying because you're having an argument over the internet.
I see your unknown facts, I suggest a player poll. Just make a thread and have people click like if they played XI and another to click like if they haven't. Which still isn't very accurate since half of the player base are grouped into categories that either don't speak English and don't participate in the head ache of official forums. So, if you want to get REALLY technical you'd just have to use an educated assumption based on what you know.
I'm willing to bet that it will swing to the majority of players in XIV (who are still playing) played XI. This is what makes the argument unnecessary and in need of going back on topic. This is a waste of time.
Color is a very small part of it though. And besides that another issue people had were people looking exactly the same, meaning if AF can't be dyed we're back to that problem as well.People wanted job identity, and the color just happens to be a part of that identity. Especially considering the traditions.
What you seem to be unable to grasp is that gear color is as much of a part of a Job's identity as the model it uses. It's no poor excuse as much as you'd like to think it is.
Here's a crazy thought, if you want "uniqueness" in the current system you can *gasp* make up your own unique gear for your classes that you can choose to not wear on any other but one class. There, problem fixed. Oh wait, no, that sounds retarded. Just like yellow Dragoons and green Black Mages.
Seriously that one guy's edits to the AF concept art proves it can work, just SE giving more random BS excuses.
Because it's either your way or my way. There is no middle ground to be had (except being able to dye in shades of the same color). You either use color to identify jobs or you don't.
And we have had enough bitching on the subject of job identity and FF traditions that I think it's pretty clear which side is the more popular one. Disagree all you want, you are in the minority.
Hardly. I'd say model is the smaller part.Color is a very small part of it though.
So what you are saying is that people wouldn't have a problem if they did exactly what you said just because you want them to do it?Seriously that one guy's edits to the AF concept art proves it can work, just SE giving more random BS excuses.
I disagree. People would have a huge problem with it, even more so since the jobs are not pulled out of their ass, but are the traditional ones. And that's enough of a reason to not make this a bs excuse.
Your only point here is to say "fuck you" to everyone who would have a problem with it, just because you disagree. Great opinion you have there.

I did, and remember playing as Green and Blue Mages, but perharps I might have missed official green outfits for Black Mages and vice-versa since I never finished the "Advance" ones ?
Anyway, I haven't read the thread entirely and won't, but I guess (and might be wrong) that you're a "anti-tradition complete freedom" guy who just used a FF tradition argument ?
I never said I was anti tradition?I did, and remember playing as Green and Blue Mages, but perharps I might have missed official green outfits for Black Mages and vice-versa since I never finished the "Advance" ones ?

Thats odd, I personally feel from all the threads I have read, combined with what I have read on one of the nonenglish boards, you are strongly in the minority. Its all about squeeky wheel gets the grease and all that. Thats just my opinion on what I have seen though.
In issues of this matter, the only true way to know the general populations feelings, would be to have it as a requirement for everyone to vote in order to log in. That is a horse of another color though.
Nice to see more false assumptions based on absolutely no real facts in you telling us what the general public wants......2 thumbs up on that bud.
So what do we get from this? Your opinion is that you're in the majority, my opinion is that I'm in the majority.
At least I don't state that your opinion is retarded like Corrderio did. People find color important for job identity, especially stable FF jobs, for legitimate reason, and SE is working based on that idea. You disagree = it's retarded.
