Some people want to improve themselves and are unhappy about their performance. The ways to improve oneself is by trial and error, practice, and reflecting on one's own failures and mistakes. You can't get better at something unless you analyze your errors and figure out ways to correct them.

People can't always control their emotions or how they feel about something so it isn't so simplistic like you are trying to make it seem. I feel like you and some others in this thread simply don't understand that.

Do you remember the video I posted when I asked for feedback and while the forum feedback was kinda neutral-postive, the comments I received on youtube were not, and then apparently someone took it to 4ch and downvote bombed it some more.

Hm...the only one I kind of remember was I think you posted an Antitower video? That one? I only recall that one...likely because I tried to help you there as well showing a different perspective of me doing the same dungeon, just one pull, and explained there are different things you can cast at different times that benefit the party more than being a bit overly cautious with healing or overhealing.

I didn't know people did that on youtube since if it was that video I only looked at it once likely very close to when you posted it and never saved the link or saw it again.

There are always gonna be jerks out there who critique people in the absolute wrong way IE: rude insults etc...it happens no matter what..and even if there were no parsers these types of people would still exist and just find other things to use to be insulting.

Not everyone is a jerk though and there are plenty of people who are considered "good" at the game who are generally nice people and also willing to help others with their jobs/roles and content. I know plenty just on my server alone (and even more on my alt's server on Aether data center), which might surprise you to hear since I know you mentioned you don't like our server in the past and I also recall I said to you back then that you are free to contact me if you need help with anything.

You didn't ask for feedback. You posted that video claiming this was how healers were supposed to be played; arguing against DPSing. People responded critically because of that. You did yourself no favours getting into arguments about endgame healing while having a level 51 WHM as your highest healer at the time.

Regardless, it's Youtube. The comment section is a cesspool on a number of videos. Parsers don't make people jerks. They already were to begin with.

I posted it then because some of you on the forum wouldn't believe me (pre stormblood) . I knew it was not the best run ever but that was also a pretty much blind run. I don't see people out on our server to forum static/fc with because I know it's the trolls official server.

Yes I did, or I would not have posted it. I was not looking for "you should play my way" but "this is how I've been playing thus far (without help)", and it was also two weeks before SB, so it's NOT relevant now, regardless if I was right or not. But that lily system works worked fine with my previous strategy at 4.0 release, but when they got rid of Cleric Stance, that made other strategies more viable, which I use Assize more than I use any of the other Lily stuff when it's available.

But let's not keep derailing this. A small handful of people are responsible for all the hand-wringing in and outside the game, and they are fully aware they are being jerks. If the OP isn't being a jerk to players, then they should not be getting depressed BY the game. If you play any content in this game, and your response to a wipe is "you suck", then you're the jerk who needs to leave.

To be fair, you did go around telling people they shouldn't use regen because ''too much aggro''.

I really don't think that is true....

I mean I've played on Excalibur since launch and I've met so many nice players on our server over the last 4 years.

If our server is all trolls I feel like I would have seen more of it. There will be some jerks on every server of course, but plenty of nice people as well.

That was my feedback when you posted the video back in the days. At the time I was trying to be polite and give you some benefit of the doubt because it seemed like you had just returned and need some help.


With that being said, even as a non-DPS-healer, your healer performance was quite poor in that video and if you haven't improved much since then (honestly don't know since we're not in the same data cluster), then there's not much I can say.

You show a level of inflexibility, arrogance, and ignorance and given this post, I would count you as more toxic and elitist then any other entry in that list.

A mark of a good healer is adaptable. You show none of that. And saying that I wouldn't trust you to advise another healer how to play even in a non-DPS way if your performance hasn't improved since a year ago.

I know this has no relevance to the OP but I just wanted to add my two cents since that topic was brought up and you continue to remain as ignorant about your own failings while claiming to stand on a higher morale ground than everyone else.

Christ, that was her? That explains a lot. I remember how that thread went, and I thought some humility and basic self-awareness would have resulted from that. All of my good will and forgiveness has flown out given what has happened in THIS thread.
