Should I use the glamour dresser?

I haven't messed around with the dresser yet but could someone answer me a question please? At present I have the same glamour on 3 different jobs. On one job its dyed white, one blue and one red. Could I still do this if I put the gear in the dresser?

If you wanted to use 3 different plates, yes. You can do it one of 2 ways:

1.Put the set into the dresser and dye the plates different colors.

2. Put a copy of each piece, dyed before conversion, for each color into the dresser (you can put the same item into the dresser multiple times, I'm not sure if this works for "unique" items).

I’m having an issue using this and I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
I want the same look on 3 different jobs but in 3 different colours. The 3 jobs are WHM, SMN & RDM. There are 4 pieces used to create this look. The body and feet are used across all 3 jobs, the hands and legs have a healer version and a caster version.

Gryphonskin Breastguard – all three
Thavnarian Sandals – all three

Star Velvet Long Gloves of Healing – WHM
Star Velvet Long Gloves of Casting – SMN & RDM

I've created 3 plates using the appropriate pieces, first plate (WHM) is died Pure White, 2nd plate (SMN) is died Midnight Blue and 3rd plate (RDM) Dalamud Red.

The first plate used on my WHM is working as intended, but here's my issue. If I apply the 2nd to my SMN it also changes my RDM to blue and if I apply the 3rd plate to my RDM it also changes my SMN to red.

Anyone any ideas why this is happening?

Glamour plates apply the glamour to gear pieces. If your RDM and SMN share gear then they share glamour. The plates work the same as the old glamour system, except they take no prisms and are limited to cities.

I can see what you are saying here, but why is this not affecting my WHM on the 2 pieces which are shared across all 3? My WHM remains constantly white, it's only my SMN and RDM which both change?

How are you switching? With macros?

I think the key will be the underlying equipment. Your Coat of Healing (or whatever) has been glamoured into a white gryphonskin breastguard. Your Coat of Casting has been glamoured into a red breastguard, and remains that way when you equip it to your summoner.

OF COURSE! I wasn't thinking about the underlying gear, just the glamour gear. I'll switch the stupidity key off! Thanks for your help.
