Silly Velhart 1.21 is the content patch

I know this, I mean in a general statement if Moogle can hold us over. I know Ifrit has for a while, but the majority of people are doing it for the hell of it now.

Not to mention Yoshi said that 1.20 is the patch that will help decide if people want to pay monthly for it. Game mechanic wise maybe, but leveling and centered on one fight is not a strong influence to get people to want to pay to play. While I am fine with this, some may not.

While I know 1.20 is basically major game mechanic changes, it won't influence current players decisions.

Technically it's not supposed to "hold us over" since everything they're doing is for the long run of the game. Just think about our status (those who played since Alpha for example), we'll have to be held over, yes, but think of it as someone who joins the game brand new say 3 months from now, they'll have a fair bit to do ontop of leveling, compared to us. So while we're doing things "for the hell of it", they'll be for the first time.

It's like the complaints with FFXI's content, people complain there's "no content" when they've been playing for 9 years straight and done it all, yet new people complain there's too much content to do that they can't even do because the former group of players won't do something they've already done or doesn't consider it content because it's not made for their level 95s.

1.21 is when we'll get much more content, let alone what 1.22 may bring, 1.20 is still part of the 1.18 saga for all intents and purposes.

Wich i and a few others missunderstood, has absolutly
nothing to do with a "Mail Delivery" system at all.

Sadly thats one of the features i was hoping for in this patch.
(since we been screaming for it for over 1 year now)

So....What the H*** happend to our mailboxes?

And when do we get "Homes" or "Temporary Housing" ?

Said around 2.0 with new servers. If you read the letter they basically stated yet again the current servers can't even properly do player search without taxing the system, so mail delivery won't be happening anytime soon.

All these have been answered over and over.

But people who don't code nor are interested in how a video game is made nor work in the video game industry can't understand the big amount of work and efforts which have been made in this patch.

What they will release, it is not 100% content ok, but it is still huge and had to be made in order us to enjoy the content they will add later.

What about info on the reasoning for some of your planned changes to some classes, the removal of enfeebling spells, the decision to separate elemental spells between Conjurer and Thaumaturge? How will some of these changes affect the lore, how may it affect Gridania's storyline? [...] I forget the other questions people had (Some were very good and valid ones too.) but I kind of hoped the next letter would touch up upon these thoughts.

Still sux thou, all this waiting for 2.0 wich is getting closer each day that pass but its still 1+ year away.
Id be happy if they just shut it all down for 1 year so i can come back when they actually got the game
into a "Awesome" game standard.

And all this 2.0 stuff... all sounds awesome & stuff...
Almost sounds too "Mythic" to me.
