Or you could quit for now and come back when 2.0 is released instead of shutting it down for those of us that want to keep playing. You aren't being forced to play as far as I know...thanks ppl for replies, so much crap to read sometimes from letters that im bound to miss a few ones.
Still sux thou, all this waiting for 2.0 wich is getting closer each day that pass but its still 1+ year away.
Id be happy if they just shut it all down for 1 year so i can come back when they actually got the game
into a "Awesome" game standard.
I thought they were supposed to be fixing the ifrit mage weapons.![]()
Not saying the current situation is perfect, but your suggestion would have been even worse.
Nobody forces you to play, but if you want to then you have a choice, just like you have the choice of not playing for 1year if you wish so.
We all know the sad history this game has had so far, the bad mistakes that have been made, the worst MMO launch ever and blah blah blah
What's done is done, what could Yoshi-P have done? Not miracles for sure.
He's trying his best to move forward and turn this game into an awesome one, but that can't happen in one night, can it?
I still have big hopes for post 2.0, I just wish you could more easily see the direction they want to go during development. Sometimes (this was true especially some months ago) you could get the feeling they had no clue what was going on and were shooting in all directions trying to hit the target.
Such a behaviour is usually not very positive for a niche MMO like this. For games such as this it's usually better to clearly define a target and 100% aim to please THAT restricted target.
Everybody else will get angry and drop the game, but at least that small target will be very pleased and will become a loyal supportert of the game.
Atm they're trying to "please everyone", and that can't possibly work on the long term.
Altough yah, the last months showed big improvements as far as I can tell. I only have serious perplexities about the class reforms, especially for Disciple of Magic, but I guess we'll have to try out how it all plays out.
Worst case scenario we'll be able to get finally satisfied after 2.0 gets released![]()
I can put one materia on a normal weapon and it's better? If the melee weapons had tons of magic potency on them everyone would have a fit.
The ifrit melee weapons are far better than even putting about 4 slots of materia on the normal weapons. Do you actually play this game?
I concur 100%, altough we can't deny that clearly FFXIV wasn't particularly close to what you'd define a "standard quality levels" for a MMO released in 2010, no?
Tbh FFXIV might have had issues in that field even in 2002 (aside from the awesome graphics, of course) so I guess we can easily understand people like why people like Quisi are still somehow bitter about it all.
