    What's wrong with the mage weapons? Do they not shoot lasers or something? I actually never heard anyone complain (in game) about them.

    They're fixing the way you obtain them, Current drop rate will be the same, but a new item will be made to where you can collect them and trade the weapon for the one you do want.
