Wow, all these people talking about how tanks are "too stressful" or "hard to play", are making me think there's a huge misconception of what tanking is really about. lol

Tanks are actually the LEAST stressful job to play, é because you're actually allowed to mess up! Forgot to dodge a mechanic? Oh that's OK, you have enough HP to afford it. You literally just have to make sure things are hitting you, and that's not hard to do at all. Yes, there are some things you'll have to get used to, such as Provoking and tank-swapping, but that's pretty much it. Knowing a tank buster is coming isn't any different than a mechanic, and despite our rotations not being as interesting as some of the DPS classes (still better than BLM tho), there's still some decision-making for you to do.

Compare that to when I play a DPS. I have to make sure I don't step out of place, or I will DIE! Same with healer. lol People think it's not as stressful, but in a lot of raids, the death of a DPS sometimes results in a wipe as well.

And to everyone who says tanking is just about taking damage and keeping enmity, that's the same as me saying Black Mage is just spamming Fire until your MP runs out, and then casting Blizzard before repeating. Like yeah, if you think that's all there is to it, then OF COURSE tanking is gonna be boring. But there's more to being a Black Mage than just that. Especially if you want to be a GOOD Black Mage. There are other skills you have to use. And that's true with tanking as. This means that until you start trying to deal as much damage as you can as a tank, of course it's going to be boring.
